CHAPTER X: Little Brother Where Do We Go From Here?

CHAPTER X

 

Awkwardness.

Tension.

 

Silence…?

 

 

That was all that was floating around in my space right now…My air was clouded

 

What now?

I swear to God that, that’s been said a lot in just one day.

 

I didn’t know what to do. I honestly kept persuading myself that this was my que to leave, I mean what was I needed for now? My job here was technically done, though I didn’t play a big role in helping at all. Larry was pretty distant with me. I planned on staring at the ground till I turned on my heels…which didn’t happen anytime soon. It’s like my feet were glued to the ground.

 

What had caught me off guard was why Laurent was…crying in his sleep moments before he woke up?

Was he having a nightmare?

I forced myself to just leave it and not climb into other people’s business because at the end of the day I don’t know them or their story. I didn’t stop my mind from pondering off into the wild though.

 

Fuck it.            

I needed to look up. There was nothing entertaining about the ground. All I felt right now was someone invading my thoughts with just staring. I shuddered and moved uncomfortably in the position I stood and at the feeling of stares being burned into my skull. I looked up, I was right; Larry was still looking at me with no type of emotion but had let go of his brother. Now they were both looking at me. They looked exactly identical for a moment. Eyebrows furrowed a little; eyes squinted as if they were trying to read me. Lips slightly parted as they breathed exactly in unison unconsciously, until one lost the game; snapping me out of the trance they held me in.
