Chapter 2

As soon as I entered the company I went to the reception and they contacted the HR department and a person from HR came to get me.

"Hello, I'm Im Young Gu from HR, you are the new employee right?" he said. He looks good, the first thought that came to my mind.

"Yes, I am." I replied

"Follow me." he started walking towards the entrance and swiped his card and we went in.

"So, you are in the Finance department right?" he asked as we got into the elevator'

"Yeah, Sub head of Finance Department." I answered

"Aaah... he answered and we got off the elevator'

"I'll give you your name tag and your business card first and then a tour around the company and then you can go to the finance department." he said as lead the way.

"Okay" I replied following him.

He gave me my Name card and the business cards he mentioned and showed around the building.

Summary of the tour:

Ground floor - Reception, Cafe, Merchandise shop

1st floor – Cafeteria for employees including the Cafe menu

2nd floor – Production department

3rd floor – Sales department

4th floor – Advertisement department

5th floor – Management and Finance department (they share a floor)

6th floor – Practice rooms

7th floor – CEO, CFO, and other directors, etc.

8th floor – rooftop

"Lunch is free for all employees but if you eat breakfast or you need to pay. There is a 50% discount for employees. Now you can go to your department. If you need anything you can find me in the HR department." He said

"Thank you." I replied and I went to the finance department.

I was greeted by the Finance head "Hello, Im Ma Wang Joon. Im the Finance head here. Welcome, you can call me Sunbae." He was really polite.

"Hello, Thank you." I replied

"You will sit in this cubicle and I will guide you directly." He said pointing to the cubicle. He then introduced me to other employees including the Management department ones. I met the BTS and TXT manager; they were there for a meeting with the head.

The cubicle was quite spacious and was bigger compared to my subordinates. There was a diary and a pen kept for me at the table and it had all other supplies which I would need. I got a Laptop which I can take with me and a cellphone. Wow they gave a lot I thought as stared at the things kept at the table.

As I was thinking I got a call from Sunbae in the telephone in the cubicle. He called me to his room.

I knocked at the door, "Come in" he said and I entered the room.

"Did you get the Laptop and the phone?" he asked still looking at his computer screen.

"Yes Sir." I answered.

"Tell me if you need anything else and you are here first time in Korea right?" he asked and looked at me.

"Yes sir" I answered

"Then regarding your accommodation and your travel modes here in Korea, you can take help from the person who assisted you from HR. It was Young Gu I guess." He said

"Yes sir" I answered again

"Now for the first day I want you read these files and ask me if you dont understand anything tomorrow. Also give these files to Yoona and if you want any help you can talk to any person here." He said and went back to work after keeping the files on the table.

"Okay Sir and Thank you." I said to which he just politely smiled and I left the room.

I first went to my cubicle to keep my files and then to Yoonas cubicle to give her the files.

"Hello, Sunbae told me to give these files to you. Btw Im Kiran" I smiled and gave her the files.

"Thank you, Im Yoona. Sit here." She said passing the empty chair next to her.

"Thanks" I said as I sat down.

"So, where are you from and how old are you?" she asked me with curious eyes.

"I'm from India and I'm 25." I answered

"I'm older by two years, you can call me Unnie!" She said clapping her hands happily.

"Sure. How long have you been working here?" I asked

"It has been about 3 years now." She answered

"Aaahh... " I said

"Lets eat Lunch together?" she asked

"Sure!" I answered excitedly, now I dont have to eat lunch alone! I was actually quite worried about it.

"Ok, we will go at 1 ok?" she said making the O sign with her fingers

"Yes Unnie" I replied and got back at my seat and started reading the files.

At exactly 1 Yoona came with her other friends to go for lunch at my cubicle. How punctual!

"Lets go?" she asked

"Yes" I said grabbing my purse.

We went to the elevator and she introduced me to her friends which were from both departments on the floor. We reached the 1st floor cafeteria and stood in the line for Lunch. After getting our food we sat at a table.

"You see that table," one of her friends said pointing at the table right next to ours.

"hmm." We all answered looking at the table.

"That is the table where BTS sits whenever they eat here and today they are gonna be here any moment. I heard from their manager she is my friend." She said smiling shyly.

"Really!!" all of them squealed softly and started checking themselves if they look ok.

"Kiran, you dont like BTS? How are you so calm?" Yoona asked me after watching me smiling and looking at them while eating my food.

"It's not like that. I like their music but my ultimate groups are Exo, Monsta X and Ateez." I answered and ate my food and just after me answering entered BTS in casual clothes and stood in the line. No one acted weird, everyone acted calm while they were going crazy inside.

As that Unnie said they sat right next to our table and I was seated at the very corner near to that table.

I made eye contact with Jungkook, Jimin and Suga accidentally (my specialty is making awkward eye contact with people whom I dont want to get caught looking at, a weird specialty I know) and was so embarrassed that I didnt even dare to look up again.

They ate quietly and talked in really soft voices among themselves. We finished our lunch and headed back. When I was getting up from the chair, the clumsy self I am dropped my spoon and it made the people sitting near our table look at us. The spoon was near Jhopes leg, he picked it up and gave me while smiling to which I thanked and left immediately without looking back. I embarrassed myself on my first day of work Wow.

While going back I tried forget about the embarrassment about which all of them comforted me saying it was ok and actually I know it was ok everybody makes mistakes but I was just taken aback.

We went back to work. I had coffee while reading and time went by just like the day and it was time to go home for my case the Hotel.

I talked to Yoona Unnie about renting an apartment she told me she would help. She said she would introduce me to a real estate agent tomorrow.

I ate dinner at the hotel and went to sleep early because I was pretty tired.
