I open my eyes, pillars and runestone surrounding me everywhere I look. The sky and the wind were soothing, so gentle to me that I forgot everything and knew nothing but such kindness.

Finally I look behind me, there stood between two pillars a portal that led to an entirely different world as it seemed was open, begging me to go through. And so I proceeded, knowing I had no other choice. The world I currently stood in wouldn't have led me to what I felt I had to explore.

As soon as I set foot through the portal I find my self sliding down a sand dune. Far beyond the eye could see was vast desert, and a lone structure. Walking along I came across these creatures, small like little butterflies, that seemed to glow. coming in range of them I felt some sort of urge, down my cloak and to it's ends energy filled me, under my mask I felt my lips quivering.

Before I knew it I was in flight. The wind flew through my strands of hair, I was actually flying. It took me a bit to control but I soon headed to where I needed and landed on the stairs of the structure.

Some sort of barrier kept me from passing through. Looking around I found a glow  in the corner of my eye, and I followed the blue silhouette of a man to a cave not far from the structure. It was a spirit who I offered a candle of light to. As I followed him I watched a number of scenes from the past, memories from his early life.

At the end of the cave there kneeled a stone figure, having the same appearance as the spirit. I offered my candle and the stone glowed and broke. The spirit appeared, looked me in the eye and then pointed through a crack in the wall at the structure. He drifted through the wind, and his aura seeped into the structure, and I watch to see that the barrier depleted.

I passed through, and jumped from the ledge and glided through the clouds. I notice other figures flying around me, not the light creatures, but other children of light, like me. And they wore masks like mine.

Upon landing to a palace behind the clouds one walked up to me, he said nothing, and I couldn't say anything either. But through their mask I could tell they meant well. He put his dimly lit candle up to me, and I did the same. And he was no longer dull to me like the rest, he grew light, the way I was lit.

After several seconds of standing there, me and him staring, he walked inside, and I stood in the grass. Not a word was said to one another, but that moment was memorable.

As I entered I saw many others of my kind, kneeling before an almighty one. He stood with a staff and was wearing long robes, a wise beard and a face of stone, incomplete and withered away. After seeing everyone he saw me in the back, and waved me over. I walked up the steps slowly to him, and offered pieces and stones I collected from the spirit, and those Peace's left my hand and went to complete his face.

No words were said again, but he shared a smile with me. His staff glowed, and he casted open the doors behind him, filling the room bright and full of light, almost blinding. The others went around and made way for the doors, so I followed, giving my farewells to the elder one.

Im on a journey, one filled with wonder and excitement to find more, and this is my beginning.
