I find myself flying again, past those doors was another vast sky, clouds reflecting the golden touch of the sun everywhere I look. I lead the group, looking behind myself I see the others gliding past the clouds following my lead. A single glow different from the rest stands out, its my friend who I shared the candle fire with.
I take land onto an open field, hills and pathways where ever I look, numerous areas to explore. As everyone lands they spread through the field, a pair chasing each other in the sky, other two simply sitting in the grass. The aroma of the air was sweet, calming again, reminding me of my home before I entered that portal. After looking around I notice another blue silhouette, another spirit in need.
I enter it's cave, my friend following me, who's yet to say a word. I'm not even sure if he can, or any of us can, but gestures help, and words aren't needed. The spirit leads me to a stone man, and I offer my candle to this one, tall and muscular he was. And his spirit flies through the air to another temple area. This time there are golden Mills on three floating islands, and in the center three enormous creatures of light.
They looked to be the size of planes, maybe bigger, glowing with light and gentleness. Their tails were pretty long, you would think they would be stingrays if they could fly and be gifted with power from the sun.
I fly over to the first island, there laid a giant door. Two jewels were carved in both sides, I could light one but not the other. A child, younger than me lit the other, and we opened the door. She offered me her candle and I did the same, and I watched as she lit up, I could feel her smile through her mask. Inside was a spirit, leading us to the top of the windmill and he flew to the sky again, performing a gesture. It made me happy to see his freedom.
I make my way to the second island, no door but just a lone cave, and I set free another spirit. A lot of them seemed friendly, they tell a lot of what happened and how they used to be in the past. They laughed and enjoyed themselves. These were our ancestors, the many before us, and they also had masks.
Taking flight to the third island was tricky, it was secluded from the rest, but the creatures of light allowed me to stay airborne for a period of time. The sky was filled with children, all finding new treasures and enjoying their time. Most of them younger than me. And a third spirit lay here on the island, he shows a memory of himself fixing the golden mill, then he flies off to the sky to my next destination, where a barrier depletes. Waking over to the ledge I see writing on a stone, tall with blue glowing letters.
"Use the creatures, fly with them and they will help you go to destinations"
I look at the flying Giants, and glide to their back, giving off a warmth I've never known before. And it takes me to the highest point where the palace stood. there I stand, staring up at the building that begged me to enter, and my friends who just landed behind me stared up as well. I had a feeling my journey wouldn't always be this peaceful.
