This is Dravidian. A continent where humans, elves, giants and other races lived in different regions and lived in peacefully without much conflicts. Other than these main races, there are different life forms that are scattered and lived together as the main races do. The price behind the peaceful life however, is a heroic tale of liberation and freedom that all races have forged an alliance in order to drive back the invasion of the demons. The story that remains as a myth that passed down generations until present times.

Long ago, where the specific time is unknown, Dravidian is invaded by a demonic race later known as Tartarus. Under the leadership of their warlord, Azh Dahak, the force conquered the land and caused the residents of Dravidian lived in peril, regardless of all races. Hoping for a change, nine heroes from different races mustered their army, gathering their troops with an alliance formed from various races. With the alliance's might, Azh-Dahak and his demonic army has been overthrown and sealed. Many have fallen under the process, including the heroes, which is no longer found after the sealing is complete. Predictions of the whereabouts of the heroes varies as no one knows the truth behind their disappearance. No matter the outcome, the heroic tale and deeds would be highly regarded, and passed down to later generations.

Somewhere beyond the horizon, there is a mythical island known as the Tenryuu Isle. The island remained untouched by the maelstrom that surrounds the island, providing an impenetrable barrier that no one could venture it. Within the barrier, nature bloomed, and it remained a sanctuary to the living residents. Dragons are the mythical creatures that resides within the isle. It supposed to be peaceful and calm, then a loud roar can be heard from the caves.

'Someone, hurry...Summon the council'.

Gaia, one of the dragons, rushed into the caves that the other dragons lived within. His roar's loudness has startled Ifreet, another dragon that is sleeping soundly. Startled and furious, he snapped at the culprit that disturbs his sleep.

"What's the fuss about, HUH?!!" Ifreet snapped at Gaia. He intimidated him with a ferocious looks and splinters of flames can be seen from its snout.

"Not now, Ifreet. We have a major crisis here." Gaia implies with a painful expression. 'Something riled up the northern lands of Halcyon, a bad omen flashed into my mind."

"Alright then, what can I help?" Ifreet calmed down a little, as he knows Gaia is very accurate with his ability to feel the earth.

"Summon the council, that would help."

Thus, the two dragons split up to seek out the other members of the dragon council. Gaia managed to called Blitztrike, Scyllia and Nidhogg, While Igneel called upon Sapphiron, Yggdrasil and Metalicanna. With most members assembled, the council begins their agenda.

"So, what's the agenda, Gaia. It seems that something terrible has occurred in Dravidian." Scyllia, the leader of the counsil asked.

"Two members are missing though. The shadowy one and the sparkling one..." Blitzstrike mumbled as he was dragged here for the meeting.

"Both Bahamut and Shyvana has their own agendas to handle, so they would not appear in the isle." Sapphiron remained calm, focusing on the agenda.

"It's about the plague lands that occurred in the Northern Plains of Halcyon." Gaia showed a troubled expression. "Something tells me that the Tartarus would return as the prophecy had foretold."

"But didn't we managed to seal them for good?" Ifreet stomps his claws to express his anxiety. "But if the seal has broken, then..."

"Then the land would once again under the threat of Tartarus." Nidhogg implies with a hardened expression. "They are not ready for it."

"We can't interfere directly with the mortals, remember?" Yggdrasil started the debate. The other dragons have been silenced. There is a rule of the Guardians could not directly intervene with the living. These dragons are the Guardians of the Land, tasked to protect the mortals living in Dravidian. Then a voice come out from one of the two empty seats of the council.

"Perhaps it is time for them to realize that, they do not need guardians, after all."

The others are astonished when they heard the voice. It is Bahamut.

"What are you talking about?" Metalicanna questioned the voice.

"Since we couldn't interfere directly, why don't we entrust the land's fate in their own hands? They have unlimited potentials, and we should trust them."

While the rest are digesting the meaning of the statements, Scylla grinned. He chuckled afterwards, which make Sapphiron questioned his motives.

"What's so funny about it, Scyllia?"

"It's nothing. Just that I didn't expect his decision, despite his self-centered personality."

"He's right. It's like the past guardians did to us in the past." Yggdrasil nodded. "And it's time to pass the responsibility to them."

"But what if something goes wrong? What if Tartarus strikes earlier than it does? There are a lot of uncertainties." Blitztrike questioned the other members.

Nidhogg calms Blitztrike by gently put his palm on Blitztrike's. He then continues: "We can assist them from the shadows, and train them to become the Slayers."

"One question remained though. How do we pick the correct candidate?" Scyllia asked the empty seat where Bahamut's voice originated from.

"I'll leave it to our old friend, Deus. His academy is the focus of all residents that the potential warriors are trained and selected. Through his selection, I believe that warriors that are qualified can be selected for the duty." Bahamut answered.

"Alright then. If no more questions, I'll start the decision poll." Scyllia implied. "Any objections regarding to this?"

The other dragons agreed and decided to stick on Bahamut's plans.

"I'll leave it to you then, my comrade." Scyllia smiled. He knows that Bahamut could be counted on, and his decision could be worked out.

In the land of Lordaeron, where Dragunov academy is situated, a man with glasses is browsing through his files while having his afternoon tea. He sensed a familiar aura approaching him. Knowing that it belongs to an old friend, he prepares tea for the guest. An aura later disperses into the chamber through the window, revealing a man with a draconic appearance.

"Greetings Lord Bahamut. Or should I say...Lord Illidan. What brings you here?" Deus served the man tea.

"Cut the formalities, Deus. And quit calling me that name."

"Haha... anyway, what's the agenda here?"

"You already knew about the plague in Halcyon, right?" Illidan implied. "I afraid the dark warlord would return again."

"So, the prophecy has come true, huh? What can I help?"

"Slayers have to be trained again, Deus." Illidan implied. "Knowing your academy, I'm sure that there are perfect candidates for the job."

Deus gazed upon the sky, then continued his words. "I'm not sure whether my students are up for the task, but I'll help and do my part."

"I'll entrust the job to you, old friend. I'll be counting on you." Illidan vanished out of the room in a puff of dark clouds, leaving Deus alone who is standing the window.

"There he goes again..." He murmurs to himself, and booted on his computer and located the file entitled: STUDENT FILE.

"Now then...who would be the newly rise heroes that would protect us...?"
