The next day I dropped Santiago off at my mom's house and went to the meeting.

I feel like it went well, I just have to wait for later on or tomorrow to see if I get the job.

The meeting went by fast, and my mom said she was out with Santiago and she'll be back at her house an hour or 2.

Before I went home I went to go buy groceries cause there was no food at the house.

Like how am I going to survive with no food

As I finished putting groceries away I got a call from Troy

"hey jimena"

"hey wassup"

"I'm out here in LA and I was wondering if you wanted to go get lunch"

"umm sure, what are you doing out here"

"trying to sort out family drama" he said sighing

"oh, that sucks, but I'm down to have lunch with you, I'll just send you my address"

"for sure, I'll see you in an hour or 30 minutes, depends if I my car starts moving from this traffic"

"traffic here sucks, alright I'll see you, bye"

"bye"

I obviously didn't think this as a date, it's just a simple friends go out lunch type thing

After like 40 minutes I heard a knock on the door and I went to go open it.

"you ready" Troy says just standing there

"yah, let's go, ou can we get Chick-fil-A" I say as I step out of the house

"I was thinking the same thing" he said looking at me

"yay!" I say all excited.

As we arrived we ordered our food inside, we waited for it to be ready.

We got our food and started eating like we never ate before.

In the middle of a random conversation between us I get a call.

My jaw slowly dropped.

" what? Everything OK" Troy asked me

"yah, I got the job!" I say all excited.

"damn congrats, so what exactly do you do" he says looking at me.

I let a small laugh "I model for big companies like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and other companies like that" I tell him.

"damn, don't you get a lot of money for modeling Thoes companies" troy asked

"yah, like a ton, that's why I took the job, I might move out here" I say looking out the window.

Me and Troy just went out for the rest of the day exploring

I checked the time and it was 6 already.

"shit, I have to go pick up Santiago" I say checking the time

"I can drive you" Troy said

"you sure?"

"yah"

I gave him my mom address and he drove to her house but it took an extra because of this God damn traffic

"hey ma" I say hugging
"hi, mija, OH and hi Troy! " my mom said said hugging me and then hugging Troy

"hey Ms. Ramirez" he said hugging back

"I got the job mama!" I tell her all happy

"omg I'm so happy for you Mija!"

"so where sant?"

"he's in the room sleeping, I'll go get him" my mom said walking out the living room.

"thank you for the drive" I said whispering too Troy since Santiago was still sleeping.

"yah no problem we should do this more often" he says looking at me.

"for sure, bye" I say closing the car door

"hey do you have plans next weekend?" he asked before he left.

"yah Louis and Aniya are coming over, but I'm free after next weekend" I say smiling

"alright, a date you and me on that weekend" he said.

"a date?um yah sure" I say smiling and going inside my house.
