Pumpkin - Ray x Reader

Just imagine it's early October.

You were lying down on the bed with your phone while Ray was in the garden, tending the flowers. Out of boredom, you opened Pinterest and started scrolling, finding yourself looking through Halloween decorations, especially the jack-o'-lanterns.

You looked through the window and noticed that Ray was gone.

"YLooking for me?"

"JFC!" You jumped, startling the poor guy who carried flowers he took from the garden.

"I'm so sorry for scaring you, (name)."

"It's okay, Ray, just don't do it again, else you'll give me a heart attack."

He pouted and replaced the flowers in the vase with new ones before throwing the withered ones in the trash bin.

"Hey, Ray?"

"Yes?"

"Do you like Halloween?" You placed your phone down on the nightstand and watched him spacing out while smiling to himself.

"I like the costumes, decorations, and the themes."

"How about the pumpkins?"

Ray close his eyes once more and smiled. "I like the smell of pumpkin and cinnamon together." You rubbed your chin and remembered the pumpkins in the garden. "Do you wanna carve a pumpkin?" you asked.

He gave you a puzzled look and replied, "but it's still early for that." You pouted your lips and gave him your best puppy eyes, making him bite his lip.

"Alright, but only one pumpkin."

"Yay!"

Once the night came, the believers returned to their respective rooms whille you and Ray went to the kitchen to avoid any interruptions. He placed a folded blanket on a chair and held your hands. "Just wait here, (name), I'll get our pumpkin." He kissed your hands before walking out to get a pumpkin.

You decided to look around the kitchen, happily browsing the drawers while occasionally taking a whiff of the spices on the rack.

"I'm back."

"That was fast."

You turned around and watched Ray enter the kitchen with a pumpkin in his arms. You carefully looked at the vegetable in his arms as giggled, "is that small for you? That's like the size of both our head combines!"

"It's the smallest one out of all the ones outside."

He placed the pumpkin on the table and stared at it. You took your phone out and showed him a picture of Elmo with flames behind him. "(name), that might take us too long."

You scrolled through Pinterest once more and found something simple and perfect for Ray. "How about something like this?"
