Intentions

Today is a new day.
Fresh start.
I opened the can of tuna and made myself a sandwich.
My head was still spinning from last night.
But from today onwards I'll be a better person.
Not for myself,  but for others.
I should get ready for school.

After Finishing,  I checked the time 07:09.
I arrived at school and saw Chante, Nick,Liam and Kim talking to each other.
'Hey , Are you okay? ' Chante asked.
'Why wouldn't I be? '
I replied.
'Never mind.'
'Uhmmm Nickys planning a sleep over at her place,  you in?' Chante continued.
'Count me in. ' I replied excitedly.
'Slow down guys, I first have to see if my parents are okay with it. '
Nick replied.
'How bout your place Mary , your parents won't mind.'
Nick said.
'Don't listen to Nick. ' Chante said as Nick gave me a strange look.
'Her dad passed away and her mom is in the hospital. '
Chante replied.

It was almost home time.
I looked at Kim who was laughing until she saw me.
'Chad.' She whispered.
'What about him ?'
'He is in love with you. '
'What,  where did you hear that from?'
I asked
'No one,  im just saying.'
I gave Kim a strange look which said she was crazy.

I rushed to the gate.
I couldnt wait to get home.
'Mary,  wait. '
Chad said as I regonized his voice.
I gave him a questioning look as he tried to catch his breath.
'Uhmmm,  I need a favour. '
'What? '
I asked.
'Not here,  can I come to your place? '
He asked
Was he insane.
I barely know him.
'No? '
I replied.
'I promise you,  it's important. '
He said.
He kinda freaked me out.
Important,  what could be so important that you need to be by my place to say it.
I  don't trust him.
'Does it involves me?'
I asked.
He took my hands and said.
'Please,  let's go. '

After arriving at my place.
Chad looked around not knowing where to look.
'So? , What did you want to tell me? '
'Sit  and listen. '
I took a seat as Chad reached for his left pocket and took out his phone.
'Listen. ' He said holding his phone.
All I could hear was a chair moving.
Someone talking.
It was Beths voice.
And then I heard a sound.
'What is this? '
I asked.
He turned his phones screen to me.
I saw Beth hanging herself.
Suicide.
'Where did you get this? '
'It doesn't matter.'
He replied.
'Take a close look. '
He continued .
'I don't need to,  it's clearly. ..'
'Take a closer look, and tell me what you see. '
He replied handing over his phone to me.
I stared at Beth.
'Im sorry, I can't. '
I said.
'Its not Beth. '
'What do you mean by that? '
I asked as I took a closer look at 'Beth' .
It wasn't her.
'They found her twin sister,  not her. '
He said.
'This doesn't make sense. '
I replied.
'Let me put it this way, her twin sister committed suicide making everyone think she committed suicide. '
'And how do you  know this ?'
I asked.
'We dated, long time ago,  she always mentioned her twin. '
'Beths parents died when she was 7 .
No one knew she had a twin. '
He continued.
'Except you?' I asked.
'I can't go to the police,  they'll never believe me.'
He said.
'What does this have to do with me? '
I asked.
'Everything, you care about Beth more than anyone else. '
He replied.
He was right,  I did care.
But this is a lot to take in.
I swallowed my bride.
'What's your plan? '
I asked.
'We need to go look for her. '
He said standing up.
'She wanted us to think she died,  which clearly says she doesn't want to be bothered. '
I replied.
He gave me a look, a look which persuaded me to change my mind.
This is  Beth we talking about.
She's alive, thats all that matters.
'Fine, I hope you know what you doing. '
I said.
He was glad, and he left off a smile.
It was 16:44.
'I should get going. '
He said.
'See you tomorrow. '
I greeted him off.
I saw his phone laying next to my cup of tea.
I grabbed it.
His hand felt against mine.
What was I thinking,  he probably knew his phone was laying there.
My hand was still against his.
He stared at me.
I took my hand back and said.
'Sorry, here's your phone. '
