Broken Heart

Chapter 2

Monday morning came and she was at work thinking about everything that happened when her assistant came to tell her that her boss is looking for her. Jasmine went to her boss's office. "Gooday Jasmine. I hope you had a great weekend and you were able to make a decision regarding my offer? ", asked Mr. Robert's.

 "Yes! Mr. Roberts  I have decided to accept your offer to go to Turkey  and I have always wanted to go to Turkey so I would be a fool to not accept your offer. I will not let you down."

"Jasmine you are aware that it will take about 5 years plus before you can come home permanently?  asked Mr. Roberts."

" Yes I am aware and I have no problem with it. I am just so honored that you trust me with the design and the setting up of the hotel and with practically the whole project."

"You have proven your self to me Jasmine, You have proven to me over and over that you can always rise up to the task given to you and sometimes you have taken my vision and transformed it into something beyond my imagination so I know that you are the right person for the job." said Mr. Roberts.

We than discussed the living arrangements and the companies I will be working with and who will be part of my team going to Turkey. By the end off the day I felt excited. when I got home I realized that if  I'm going to be away for  5 years I needed to find someone to stay in my house but I didn't want to have to deal with the issue of being a landlord, so I looked up different real estate agencies. Found one I liked and made an appointment to see them tomorrow. I then found a storage facility for my belongings.  Everything was falling into place that by the time I fell asleep that night I did not even think about the incident.

In two days I had my whole house put in storage and I already had a potential tent so I was already set to leave. Every time I wanted to pick up the phone to tell Alex about my job and that I was relocating I just kept replaying what was said so I decided to just make a clean break I was excited about this opportunity and I wasn't going to let anyone spoil it for me.

A month has already gone by with me living in Istanbul my apartment is amazing the city is so beautiful it is everything I have dreamt of and so much more. I am working with a really well known architect and construction company. I must say that there is a lot of eye candy the architect Mr Onur Erandil is a very good looking guy the first time I met him I thought this guy belongs on a Milan fashion week catwalk. But he soon showed me that he is very good at his job and we soon had a design to work with and after hours of back and forth we were going to present our design tomorrow to Mr. Roberts he is flying out specially for the presentation if he like it we will start construction in two weeks time.

At night when I lay awake in bed it doesn't matter how much I try to carry on like I'm okay it still hurts and I miss Graham so much, I never realized how deeply I felt for  him until I was on the other side of the world and the thought of never seeing him again. It hurt so much.

Busy watching T. V when my phone rang I was so into the show Erkenci kus, that I answed with out looking
"Hello."

"Hello, can I please speak to Jasmine?"

"Jasmine speaking how can I help you?"

"Jasmine it's me Alex snif-snif w-w-why ddddid you leave with out saying goodbye I had to find out from your work that you live in Turkey."

"I came to tell you but I wasn't wanted   you and Grant made it perfectly clear that I only spoil the functions with my ' fat cow looks'"

"oh Jasmine don't be like that, you know how Grant is," said Alex

"Yes I know how Grant is but what I didn't know is that you felt that my presence  ruins the event.

" Come on Jasmine it been over a month ago I miss you. You my family", said Alex.

" No Alex I am not your family I am nothing of you and I want nothing to do with you so don't ever phone me again. I'm sure your Sunday lunches these few weeks must have been the best Sunday Lunches for you!"
I then hang up the phone.
