Becca's POV
Tiffany and I both groaned when her grandma pushed us out of house with her credit card.
Prom was coming in three months! Three months and she was making us go! Knowing where we would go we ran to the car as the wind was picking up and it blew our hair through each other's as she laughed, hopping into the car. I was never one for shopping when it came to me having to get something, I was okay just looking through things and them finding me but I hated having to look for the prefect dress and all of that other shit. It was the most annoying thing, even more annoying then Chase. Which is saying something.
So we walked to the mall and I looked at the giant building looming in front of me. I sighed and shook my head. Shopping was so not my scene at all. "Ugh Tiff this sucks so much!" I practically yelped.
She stuck out her tongue childishly and I snorted in response. I'm so sexy, right?
We went searching for hours and hours and I was so ready to just give up but finally Tiffany gasped and looked at a dress.
Rolling my eyes like when this happened on other separate occasions, I took out my phone. "Becca," Tiffany spoke in a semi daze.
"What?" I snapped back.
All she could do was point to whatever she was looking so dreamily at. My eyes widened On their own accord when I looked where her hand was turned towards.
"Oh my god," I breathed.
"It's yours," she spoke excitedly, "Let's go get it."
She practically pulled my arm out of my socket as she bustled to the rack that the dress was situated on.
She squealed and then grabbed it looking around, "It's your size!"
"It was meant to be," I gasp/mocked.
She narrowed her eyes teasingly and then shoved the dress into my torso and pushed me all the way to the change rooms. "You know I have two feet, right?" I asked.
"I don't really care Becca, just put the damn dress on," she shooed me to the assistant at the entrance.
Looking over my shoulder I fingered her over my shoulder and she called back to me, "I love you too!"
"Only one," I proceeded.
She nodded and smiled politely but I could tell she wanted to get out of this hellhole more than I did. "Thanks so much," I smiled and then closed the dressing room door.
Slipping on the black material I couldn't see it but I didn't have anyone to zip the back up. "Tiffany," I spoke quietly, "Can you zip me up?"
I heard some rummaging and then finally the door opened and tiffany burst in. When she did she gasped and brought a hand to her mouth. "What?" I looked around panicked.
"Nothing," she sniffled, "It's just you look so beautiful. So grown up."
"Thanks tiff," I smiled at her, "Now zip me up."
She laughed at my absurdity and then zipped it up all the way. There wasn't a mirror in the change room which was stupid because if it was on the outside then the person could not like it and once they go out people could see them in it.
It was absurd.
Finally me and Tiffany walked out of the change room and my eyes immediately went to the mirror on the front of my door.
Gasping I didn't realize how perfect this dress was before. It fit me perfectly and flowed to just below my ankles. "Wow," I almost gasped again.
"My Bestfriend is hot," she smiled.
I chuckled, "So is mine."
"Does it look okay though?" I asked worriedly, my hands skimming over the fabric.
"Your so hip, your practically a pelvis honey," she chastised.
Bursting out laughing I went back to the change room and slipped off the dress, taking it outside.
The only thought I had was if Chase would like it.
And then the thought hit me that Chase hadn't asked me to prom yet.
Oh my god.
