Found You Again

Chapter 1

*Flashback*

“GET TO THE BASEMENT!” Mommy yelled.

She grabbed my hand and we raced down the stairs daddy was holding the door open for us. We got down the stairs and ran to the couches.

Mom grabbed blankets while my dad was turning on lights and such.

“Jade sweetie, stay sitting.” Mommy told me. I sat on the couch holding my knees to my chest as I rocked back and forth on the couch.

There was a horrible storm going on. A tornado was running all over Kansas. It came to my city of Blue Mound. I had never been so scared in my life.

My mommy came back over to the couch with my dad. Mommy wrapped a blanket around me and cradled me in her arms. Daddy rubbed my back soothingly. I cried on my mother’s shoulder scared of everything. I noticed mommy was singing,

“And I…

Will always

Love you, ooh

Will always

Love you

You

My darling you

Mmm-mm”

That was the only part of the song I liked. Mommy sang it repeatedly while I hung onto her for dear life. I loved my mommy and daddy so much, and I would hate to lose them.

“I love you Mommy, I love you daddy.” I said, as more tears rolled down my face. “We love you too,” my mommy and daddy both said at once.

I sat tracing the chain of the locket on my mommy’s neck. Wishing all of this was a dream, but it wasn’t at all…

All of a sudden a huge crash from upstairs stopped mommy from singing. I clung tighter to my mom, scared to the bones.

“Shh, it’s OK Jade, everything will be ok” Daddy told me.

Mommy released her arms from me and I felt even more scared. She reached up to her neck and unhooked her locket.

“This is for you, our everything,” she looked at daddy, “Daddy and I love you with all our hearts, you are our life, and we will always be with you. This is just a little part of us.” Mommy told me.

She started to cry and I looked at daddy who was crying too. “I love you both .” I said. Mommy and daddy hugged me and we sat there hugging each other.

I could tell mommy and daddy were scared too.

“Hold on, I’ll get us pillows.” Mommy spoke. I hopped off her lap and scooted over to daddy.

Mommy got up and walked to the cabinets which were on the other side of the basement.

Just as it opened the floor broke and the tornado hit right behind mommy. “OLIVIA!” Daddy screamed reaching with his hand to grab hers.

She reached and her face was so sad.

“MOMMY!” I screamed too. “I will always love you both!” she yelled and then the tornado took her away from me and daddy.

The storm had just stopped and lifted away, leaving me and daddy crying.

Me in his arms crying and him crying too.

*End of flashback*

That day was the worst day of my life.

It’s not something a seven year old usually wants to have happen to them, but it does.
