Species:Avoid making human OCs, if you must, make it cartoony and child friendly, like BB.Overused animals are foxes, wolves and cats.Don't make it an already used species in canon.Make it an animal kids are familiar with, but don't make splices.
Occupation:A waiter is a bit overdone, but it could possibly work.Don't make them part of the band, also avoid making them pirate like or take an already taken occupation.Make it an occupation common in a normal fast food chain or something you see in kindergarden or whatever like someone reading stories.
Appearance:No harsh, fully saturated or neon colors.This would hurt he children's eyes, make colors that clash well together and pleasing to the eye.Avoid making them tattered like Foxy, and please don't make them wear clothes, They're not furries.
Personality:They are not supposed to be violent.Scott Cawthon confirmed that they are haunted, so the personality during the day is friendly.Notice how ALL of the animatronics attempt to kill you or aid others to kill you even though there were only 5 children.So it's a bit risky making an animatron that helps the night guard.
Backstory:In FNAF 1, they're on a lower budget, so an old broken animatron is suggested or they got it for free somewhere else.They don't necessarily need to have done something tragic like the Bite of '87 though I see this on all of the OCs.
