Hannah POV:
He was perfect. Well, almost. The way his hair stood perfectly above his head. The way his eyes twinkled when he talked to his friends. The way he dressed himself. Too bad he was too much of an ass to care about a girls' feelings. Why the hell do I even have feelings for a guy with such a shit personality like Luke Hemmings? That's because I don't. I can't. It's just simply impossible. His only intentions are to fuck and leave. Not to mention that he doesn't even talk to me. I know you'll think I'm delusional for thinking that he's such an ass, but believe me, I know. He "dated" my ex-friend. Yeah, he totally broke her heart. Slept with her, and left her the day after. I guess he got what he wanted, right? God, why do all the assholes have to be blessed with gorgeous faces?
It was around 10:30 p.m., so I decided it was time to put my thoughts to rest and go to sleep. Tomorrow I'd have to wake up to go to my hell of a high school. The only girl I ever trusted with pretty much my life was Vanessa. She's my best friend, and the best part is, she lives right next me. We walk to school together, so at least I'll have something to look forward to in the morning.
Getting up at 6:00 a.m. was horrible. I got up, looked at myself in the mirror, and laughed at how bad I looked. I hopped into the shower and turned the nob. After I finished, I dried my hair, and straightened it. I put on my usual makeup, just a little foundation, mascara, and black winged eyeliner. I threw on black shorts, a black tank, and a red flannel. Grabbing my backpack, I ran downstairs, kissed my mom goodbye, and met my friend outside.
"Hey Hannah!" Vanessa chirped. "Aye Vanessa, how's it going?" I replied, not really in the mood because it was way too early for me. "Well, you remember that Michael kid I kinda hooked up with last week?" "YOU HOOKED UP WITH HIM?!" I screamed while giggling. "I thought I told you! But yeah, I did, and its not really a one time thing anymore I guess, because he asked me out a few days ago! He's taking me to the movies this Friday." Vanessa smirked. She seemed really excited about this guy, so i decided instead of bashing her about it, I "congratulated" her. "Hey I'm glad you found a guy to actual have a thing with." Then I thought of that ignorant asshole Luke. Just saying his name made me cringe. But at the same time, his bad boy ways seemed almost attractive to me.
"Hey Vanessa, you know that guy, Luke Hemmings?" I tried not to seem interested in him, but I wanted to find out if she knew anything about him. "Yeah, what about him? I heard that he's a real dipwad. Like he acts like he's head over heels for you, sleeps with you, then leaves you the next day. You aren't involved with him, are you?" She stopped in her tracks, looking concerned. Vanessa knew that I got out of a really bad relationship not too long ago, where I was so hurt and alone that I didn't know what to do with myself. I'd cry myself to sleep every night. It was pretty bad I guess. But I'm over it.. "No, no, no. I just wanted to know if you knew anything about him." I quickly shot back. "But hey, Hannah, you gotta admit, he looks like a sex god. I mean, have you seen him?! Damn!" "Yeah, but it sucks that his shit personality ruins his looks." We shared a laugh, and finally arrived at school. And speak of the devil, Luke was standing near the doors of the school with his "crew" messing with some innocent math geek. Vanessa and I walked past them with blank expressions. When I opened the doors, that dickhead had the balls to wolf whistle at us. Vanessa knew how much I hated being treated like I was a prize show pig at a county fair. Her eyes widened at me and tried to stop me from confronting him. This is exactly why I hate his attractive guts. I turned around and walked straight up to him.
"Excuse me?" I placed my hand on my hip and glared at him. Luke was much taller than me, which made him way more intimidating. Me being 5'4 wasn't too much of an advantage over a guy who is more than six feet tall.
"Yes, princess?" Luke smirked at me. That just made my blood boil.
"Why the hell did you just whistle at my friend and I?" I sassed.
"Because you guys are so hot. But don't worry, we cant meet up later." He winked and turned around. I grabbed his arm, which was super muscular, and turned him back, facing me. His eyes bulged at me, surprised.
"Listen. Vanessa and I aren't one of your little sluts that you can just bark at whenever you want. So you and your little asshole self better leave us alone. Got it?" I demanded in the most serious tone I could manage. I heard oohs and damns coming from his friends behind him.
"Trust me princess, you'll be on your knees for me sooner than you think." He moved his head closer to mine. I pushed him back angrily, just wanting to punch him in the face then and there.
"Keep dreaming, babe." I faked a smile and swung my body around. I walked next to Vanessa, but she just stared at me like I had three heads.
"What?" I acted like nothing happened just a few moments ago.
"You just stood up to the Luke Hemmings." She blurted excitedly.
"That's like, top notch bitch!" I laughed at her remark and replied with what I thought about the situation.
"Hey, he got what he deserved. You know I hate it when guys whistle at us. Its disgusting. Someone needed to teach him that!"
We chatted for a bit until we had to go to our separate classes.
It was eighth period and I could not wait until it was over. My language arts teacher was so boring, I could never pay attention. It was until around 2:15 p.m. when I thought I was going to mentally kill myself.
"Class, I'd like to introduce you to a new student in our class, Mr. Luke Hemmings! He was transferred into this class. Luke, why don't you go sit at the empty seat next to Hannah?" Mrs. Derino suggested.
"I'd love to." Luke flashed one of his famous smirks at me, then bit his lip piercing once he sat down next to me. Our desks were connected, and I already knew that this would be a living hell.
