Something happens that makes Marinette close to being akumatized. Close. Marinette seems to be the only person able to not become akumatized. But after the newly purified akuma flies away she feels a burning sensation on her arm. She runs to a bathroom and looks at her arm revealing a purple butterfly tattoo. Tikki ends up convincing Marinette it is what happens when you deny an akuma but in reality she had no idea how it got there. Marinette relaxes and gets back to what she is doing. The next day she goes to school and after Chloe was rude to her a sharp pain shot through her hand. She screamed before collapsing to the ground. Everyone rushed towards her when she stood and started chocking Chloe. After a few seconds Mari releases Chloe and warns her not to do it again before going back into the position she was in before. She then clutches her arm before standing up and looking at Chloe worrying about her. Marinette has no memory of what just happened. Apart from the fact that she saw Hawkmoth. The two eventually became friends by communicating through their minds. The only reason they would do this is because of the  tattoo. Whenever someone annoyed Mari Hawkmoth would take over Mari's body and deal with her. Everyone else was oblivious to Mari contacting Hawkmoth. Until they all agree that recently she has been acting out. They all spy on her and hear a conversation between them both. "So when is the next akuma?" Mari asked.
"Going to be quite soon. You going to be there?" Hawkmoth said (Doesn't matter if they can hear him or not) "Obviously he needs my help." Mari said meaning to help Chat Noir. Hawkmoth has found out quite easily but they both decided to keep doing akumas for fun. Hawkmoth wouldn't let the akumas hurt Ladybug too much. She heard a scream before running towards it. The class was very confused but decided to deal with it tomorrow.
