Chapter 12

Hey guys I'm back! Sorry for the delay, but I'm here again! I can't believe my story got over 1,000 in just 10 chapters! So, without further ado, lets get started!

Note's POV

I sat down at the guild after the phone call with Lucy. "Well, he's finally gone off the edge." I thought to myself. I always knew that he was abusive, but I didn't think he'd try to kill them! Just then, Lucy rushed in with Erza in her arms. "Whoa! Lucy, what's happening?" "No time! We have to get Erza to a hospital, ASAP!" "Okay, don't worry! We ca-" Just then, Erza sprang up. She started growling angrily at us. "Oh no..." Lucy said. "What? What?!" "Erza, when she was shot, I think she was injected with the poison!" "Oh crap! Don't worry, I got this!" "No!" Lucy stopped me.
"W-What?!" "There still might be a chance to save her." She walked up to Erza and she looked nervous. Good luck, Lucy. I hope you can do it.

Lucy's POV

When Erza looked up at me she growled. "Erza... it's me, Lucy. Please remember. Snap out of it!" She just lunged at me and I gripped her wrist. "Erza! I know you're in there! Fight this thing! I know you're stronger than this!" She stared into my eyes with anger burning inside her's. Then, out of nowhere, I felt a punch right in my jaw and I hit the ground. I looked up and saw Erza with her fist steaming. I held my cheek and was about to cry when I got up. I ran and hugged Erza. "Please, please! Erza! Please fight it! You can't succumb to this poison, you have to fight it!" "L... Lu- Luc..." "Erza?" "Grrr... haaaa!" She threw another punch at me but stopped herself. She held her arm in struggle.

Erza's POV

*in her mind*

Erza: Stop! You won't harm Lucy!
Corrupted Erza: Oh, I'm afraid I already have.
Erza: Haaaaaaaaa!

We clashed fists and non-stop battled. I can't let this happen... I have... to protect her...

Erza: DIEEEEE!
Corrupted Erza: HAAAA!

We both dealt one last blow to each other before falling. I felt my chest and... well, I'm not okay. I looked over at the corrupted version. Same wound. "A-At least... you won't... hurt her... you bitch..." Those were my last words before closing my eyes and never opening them.

Note's POV

"Erza? Erza!" Lucy shook Erza, trying to wake her. I walked up to Erza and keeled down. I felt her neck for her pulse, focusing all of my power to feel even the faintest beat. "Is... is she alive?" Lucy asked, tears going down her face. "... I'm sorry. She's gone." "No... No! No, that can't be..." "But... there might be a way..." "Anything! Anything to revive Erza! I'd risk my own life to protect her! I'd do anything to have her back!" I looked at Lucy in shock. She cares about Erza as much as her own life? Well, if that's how it is, then... "Follow me." I said.
