Opening Act {N.H}

I couldn't believe it. They want us, four dorky girls from Arizona to tour around the world with them. One Direction wants US to open up for them! So many thought were racing through my head as I read the email, yes I still use my Gmail account. Paul Higgins had sent me an email explaining that the boys saw some of our YouTube videos and want us to join them as their opening act.

I quickly sent a text to Catie, Marin, and Ashley asking them to meet me at JJ's Diner for an emergency band meeting.

Me: "meet at JJ's in 10, big news"
I sent the text and instantly got a reply from them, they said something along the lines of "okay" or "on my way".
I arrived at the diner and got us a booth, seeing that I was the first one to arrive. As soon as I sat down I heard someone say Layla. Turning around I saw Marin and Ashley walk through the door.

"Hey guys what's up?" I asked as they sat down opposite of me.
"Nothing much, just counting down the days till graduation" Catie replied in a cheery tone.

We were all Seniors in High School about to graduate in three days. I myself was slightly sad to see this part of my life end. I have loved my high school experience, that's something that most 17 year old girls cant say. I guess I loved it because I made the most of it. I have been on the girls varsity soccer team since Freshman year, I have been an SBO for my Junior and Senior year, and tried to join as many clubs as my schedule would allow.

Catie, Marin, and Ashley have all had their own unique experiences that haven't been as positive as mine. Catie was the popular cheer leader in Freshman year. She was the girl every guy wanted to have sex with and every girl wanted to be. She is gorgeous, fit, nice rack, and beautiful hair. You might be wondering why I said used to be the popular cheer leader. At the end of Freshman year things started to go down hill for Catie. Her boyfriend, the star quarter back, was cheating on her with her best "friend". The other cheerleaders and her so called "friends" started to spread rumors about her and almost the whole school turned against her. That's when I started to hang out with her. I had sat by her all year in math and it wasn't a until the second to the last week of school that she started to talk to me. We instantly became great friends and hung out all summer.
Marin's high school experience wasn't necessarily bad, it just wasn't good. Marin is the geeky girl who loves anime, pokiman, and Doctor Who. Not that those are bad things, there just things that sadly don't attract a lot of friends. Marin and I are a strange pair of friends, she has died her hair strange colors since I could remember (right now it's Ariel red) she has a nose piercing and loves geeky things, while I have dirty blond hair a freckle infested nose and am a soccer enthusiast. Despite our obvious differences, me and her became great friends the first day of art class Freshman year.

Now Ashley, who is late, is a very sweet and bubbly girl who moved next door to me last summer. She has her hair in a pixie cut and is died blond on top and her natural hair color, brown, on the bottom. She is stunningly beautiful and flawless. Since she has only been at our school for Senior year, me, Catie and Marin are her only friends. Put us all together and we are 5 Seconds of Summer.

Ding.

As I heard the door chime go off I looked to see Ashley walk in, as she spotted us she put on a big smile and walked to our booth.
"Hey, sorry I'm late" Ashley said as she sat next to me.
"It's okay" I assured her as she settled her self in.
"So what's this big news you needed to tell us?" Asked Marin curiously
"Well..." I began.
"I received an email from a man named Mr. Paul Higgins" as I said this I heard numerous gasps and no ways. all of us were major 1D fans and knew who Paul was.
"He said the boys have watched some of our videos Marin posted online and they really like us. They actually invited us to be their opening act for their tour over the summer" I finished telling them and I observed their faces. Catie had a blank look, Marin looked like she could barf, and Ashley had the biggest smile on her face.
"You can't be serious? If you're joking I will punch you" Catie said.
"No I promise, here I'll pull the email up on my phone."
"Well..." Ashley started to say
"Well what?" Asked Catie
"Are we going to tour with them?"
"I want to" said Marin
"Me too" agreed Ashley
"I do to" I stated as I continued to look through my email trying to find the one from Paul.
"Here" I said handing the phone to Catie to look at.
We all waited for Catie to finish reading. I hope she wants to go, she's the only one that hasn't said anything about if she wanted to go or not.
"Okay" Catie wispered as she handed me my phone back.
"Okay?" Ashley repeated
"Okay! I guess we're going on tour with the hottest guys in the world!" Exclaimed Marin, rather loudly might I add.
"I guess I should reply saying we'll do it" I said
" Dear Mr. Higgins...." I began to type.
