03. Goals

The bitter sweet sound of coach's whistle fill the air, reminding that it's that time again, lacrosse season.

"Now listen up you degenerates!" there it was the sweet harmonizing screams of no other than coach Finstock, "I want your asses on the field and I want your asses not to suck. Don't make me regret my life more than I already do,". With that Finstock scanned the faces of the jocks surrounded him, everyone was there except.

"HOLDEN," he screamed out, "Where the hell is Holden!". Of course coach couldn't forget one of his star players.

Cedric was speed walking towards the field because of a rather sabotage delay. Apparently Jackson thought it was a hilarious idea to hide around the locker room all of Cedric's gear. Jackson just didn't count on the fact that his best friend Danny has a heart of gold and left Cedric a note explaining what happened to his gear.

"Here, Coach, sorry I was late. I had....a tiny delay," Cedric explained while giving a hard glare to Jackson, while explaining the last part. The blonde was just smirking the entire time.

And the game was on.

Coach assign Scott McCall to play for goalie, Cedric furred his brows in confusion, in why someone that is always benched is suddenly on the field. Cedric doesn't know Scott, nor did Scott know Cedric. Sure they knew each others names but that was about it, who knew that they would be seeing more of each other.

The lacrosse jocks and Cedric were all lined feet away from the goal and the goalie, which was now clutching his head between his head as Coach once again blew his whistle. One of the many guys in front of Cedric just decide to start aiming the ball. The ball not so gracefully hit Scott so perfectly on his helmet.

Cedric winced at the impact but resisted a chuckle because he must admit what happened was a pretty laughable moment. The others around him couldn't contain their laughter so a wave of laughs were aimed at the McCall boy. Once he recovered another ball was thrown his way but as to everyone's surprise, he caught the ball. Let me repeat again Scott McCall caught the ball, the same thing was going around everyone's mind. More balls were being tossed by players and Scott caught each and every single one of them.

Basically everyone's face in the field radius was awestruck. Even Coach, which is hard to surprise that man. Cedric twisted the lacrosse stick around his gloved hands ready to pick up the ball that was by his feet, to face the now so talented McCall but Jackson being Jackson cut in front of him.

Jackson placed, roughly I may add his lacrosse stick in front of Cedric's chest . Cedric gazed up from the stick and onto Jackson, "Are you being serious right now," Cedric rhetorically asked.

The blonde just ignored Cedric question and stepped in front of him, ready to have a shot with McCall. Cedric just rolled his eyes at him. Jackson soon took off and started running, soon enough he threw the ball.

The crowd was quite waiting, very anxiously and then it happened, Jackson Whittemore didn't make the shot. Scott was able to catch the ball, the crowd of course erupted in cheers. Cedric turned his head when he even saw Lydia cheering, he wasn't jealous, he was happy that finally not everyone was cheering for Jackson. Cedric was making his way towards Scott to congratulate him but just when he was a few inches away, the same thing that happened the night before was happening right now.

His breathe caught his throat, his head started getting dizzy but something different happened. Pain, there was an appearance of pain on his side. Deciding that enough was enough he quickly turned away and hurried to the locker room. No one noticed.
