The Introduction

"WAKE UP SWEETHEART", Amari's mother yelled through the house . Her mother was the greatest , she had Amari at age 19 and was married the same year. Amari's parents were high school sweethearts until thing changed inevitably.  Amari's father had been arrested for being involved with the Sex Trafficking industry. Her mother never knew of his past , but he'd always tell her "if I told you my life, you'd wish I never came into yours" . Her mother (Elaine) always tried to see past whatever he might've been talking about.
Amarí's father (Amir) had been tormented himself at a very young age by one of his immediate family members. No one ever knew of the events that occurred because he was threatened . Amir was told that if he ever said anything , he'd be forced to kill him self or his mother . On into the future , Amir never let his past go and carried trauma on his shoulders.
Amir had been sentenced to death row for all the crimes that he had committed. Elaine never wanted Amari to perceive her father in a bad way, so she told him her father died when she was an infant . To this day Amari lives a lie .

Amari's Perspective
I got up early to hear my mother yelling for me to get up . She's here from Afghanistan , I finally convinced her to come and live with me ! I rolled over and got up and headed to the restroom. I completely my daily hygiene and walked downstairs to greet my mother. I walked into the kitchen and smelled fried eggs &cheese, with a side of crispy bacon my mom makes especially for me

"Goodmorning beautiful" , Elaine said to me
"Hey girl!!!" I said , "mom I have a date tonight with David andddddd I was wondering if you'd like to meet him" I said anticipating and dying to know her response. "I don't know Mari, the last guy you brought tried to steal all of our shit" mom said looking at me sternly " but ma , he's a very nice guy and I've know him forever ! Pleaseeee for me ?" I said . " Ahh, I guess" mama responded

I went upstairs to call David , I was ecstatic !

David's Perspective
I couldn't sleep last night so I stayed up writing all night long . I turn to see a missed call from Amari and a text saying " my mama wants to meet you tonight"
Moments like this . Are the WORST!!  But if her mothers anything like her this should run smoothly .
I got up to find clothes to wear ...
I decided I'd wear my black skinny jeans and my country white button down along with my tan Sperry's
I looked in the mirror to check myself and woo I
Must say , I'm the finest motherfucker walking
I put on my chain and watch and was headed to see Amari

We met sophomore year in high school . She always acted as if she hated a nigga , but as time past she started feeling me . We took it to another level and she's been my woman ever since .

*calling Amari*
"Baby Im outside"
" OK bae, just come in" Amir said

I got out of my car and headed inside to be greeted by her mother at the door . I shook her hand and smiled as much as I could to make the best impression.

We sat and talked until Amari came downstairs

Amari's Perspective
I cane down to see David and my mom talking . This was easier than I thought ! They seemed to be enjoying each other's company so I went to join

"Hey ma , I see you Met David already" I said smiling
"Yes baby, he's a nice young man , you did a great job this time" she said impressed by my choice

"Well thanks , we are about to go mom , I should be back tonight or if not I'll call you!" I said
She responded " OKAY! It was nice meeting you David , you guys have fun and stay safe"
"My pleasure , nice meeting  you too  Mrs. Elaine" David said

We headed out the door to his car and sped to his house .
Ten minutes later , we arrived in front of his apartment building . He rushed out of the car to open my door . We then walked into the house together

David sat on the couch and I came and sat in his lap kissing his cheek

"I'm sleepy " David said in a tired voice
"Well , I don't want to go to sleep" I said pouting
" I want you" I said looking at him

He kissed me and told me " I think we should go to my room" he got up and I followed
David sat down on the bed and rested his head on my stomach as I stood in front of him. He removed every piece of clothing I had on and placed on on the floor . He looked me in my eyes and told me "you're beautiful" after small talk, We didn't proceed with our actions and I ended up falling asleep shortly after.

David's Perspective
After Amari went to sleep , I stayed up all night and admired her . Her hair, eyes, lips , and luscious curves . She was BEAUTIFUL
A lot of the pieces I've written has been about her . She doesn't know but I'm sure she'll love it.

Amari's Perspective

I woke up next to David , it's refreshing to have somebody like him in my life. After daydreaming about he and I , I went to the studio to find some paint brushes and a canvas. I looked in the closet , drawers , cabinets. EVERYWHERE!

I decided to get dressed and made plans to go to The Crafts Store . I grabbed a pen and paper before I left and wrote "Goodmorning Babe, i decided to paint today so I'm headed to Crafts in Your car, Call me if you need anything - Queen" . I laid it on the nightstand next to David's bed and left out.

David calls me Queen, I don't know why but I like it.

After 20 minutes of driving in this New Orleans traffic , I arrived at the store.
I went to pick out my brushes , got a large kit that had different colors in it and got 5 canvass. I headed to check out and David called me

David- hey Queen
Amari- hey babe , I wrote you a note
David - i didn't even notice , I just saw you left me
Amari - awwww babe , I'll be back shortly , want anything ?
David - no , im about to make breakfast for you and I
Amari- OKAY, I'll be there in a sec

*Phone Call ends*

David's Perspective
I got up and went straight to the kitchen Make bacon quesadillas for Amari and I . I went to the fridge to get everything I needed. After opening the door , I felt small hands wrap around my torso.... I turned around to kiss her , and to my surprise it wasn't Amari.

In the midst of the kiss from my ex girlfriend Numra, Amari walked through the door ...

Amari's Perspective
I walked down the halls and as approached David's door , I saw panties left on the door knob. I was confused so I slowly entered ...

My heart dropped when I saw David Kissing some girl , I was unaware of where my thoughts would take my body , before I knew it , I grabbed a knife and stabbed the girl in the head repeatedly

David dropped her body leaving himself covered with blood. I looked up at him and began to cry .
He grabbed a tote , and put garbage bags at the bottom . David went for the saw in the storage closet to chop her remains up . He place it in the tote and poured bleach on it . He put the lid on it and asked me To help him carry it to the car.

After putting the body in the trunk we went back in the house to get cleaned up . As we cleaned , David explained to me what happened , I felt guilty now and was tempted to turn myself in . He stopped me and told me that it was done.

We finished what we were doing and went to the car. We'd be the the body to Texas tonight to dump it in one of the rivers .

2 Days Later...

Elaine's Perspective
I've called Mari 1000 times , I hope she's ok . She hasn't returned any of my calls and I'm worried.

Amari's Perspective
After a couple days in Texas , We finally made je back to town . We pulled in front of the house and saw the whole apartment complex had been burned down. I thought back and realized that before we left David was preparing to cook and had left the stove on. Guilt on top of guilt is what I had been feeling the entire time . I then told David that we could go to my house and that he could live with me.

David's Perspective
I never expected any of this to happen , I'm a murdered . I made matters worse by chopping the body , when i should've just called the police . Numra's parents put out a missing person report the day after she showed up at my house . Amari and I have to leave as soon as possible .

We got back in my car , but as we left I noticed a woman staring at me. I wonder how long she had been there.... I didn't over think it , so we left ....
