WHEEIN's soft snoring almost made hyejin fall asleep next to her. almost. the memory of wheein being so close to her, yet so far made hyejin not sleep well. first she takes away my snacks and now my sleep? hyejin grumbled in her thoughts. wanting to flick wheein on her temple, she turned her head and faced the girl consuming her thoughts.
a small arm wrapped around hyejin. the warm arm pulling her body extremely close towards the other. the lion's stomach flipped. hyejin was about to pry wheein's arm off of her before wheein groaned. "i need something to hug," she mumbled. hyejin sat there unmoving. she should probably take wheein's arm off of her, shouldn't she?
wheein is so warm, and hyejin is extremely cold. the girl shivered. hyejin's blanket had been scrunched up on wheein and left nothing on the other. she should probably get another one. the air started to prick at hyejin's arms.
all these things hyejin should do, but at the same time doesn't want too. she shouldn't like wheein. wheein—at most—is straighter than a ruler, and she probably only had feelings for yongsun "wheein-ah," the said girl grumbled. "give me some blanket," wheein kicked at the soft and fluffy blanket sending some to the other girl. "thanks sweetheart," hyejin smirked when wheein's eyes opened.
"could you not? it's morning," wheein groaned and snuggled even closer to hyejin.
but there's that nagging. she can't—not like wheein. wheein was a stubborn, annoying, mean puppy who couldn't stop teasing hyejin. and that's what hyejin can't get enough of, wheein was different. she didn't always agree with hyejin, she fought with her when she didn't think hyejin was right. whether wheein was right or wrong she always stayed to true to her opinions.
that's what hyejin loved about wheein. her honesty. how she can stay true to herself under all this pressure.
hyejin didn't get a blink of sleep, didn't even shut her eyes.
even though her mattress was very comfortable, her soft blanket engulfing her into it's arms and the fluffy pillows massaging her aching head there was one thing keeping her up. wheein's stupid arm.
wheein's warm and inviting arm. it made hyejin feel lots of things, made her stomach churn with butterflies, made her body ten times warmer, and made her feel so calm and peaceful. but under these circumstances, she still was not able to sleep.
wheein was practically bear-hugging her now. the girl's leg's intertwined with the others, arms holding her tight. hyejin could barely move.
hyejin's heart kept thumping inside her chest. her cheeks flushed red, and body feeling warmer than usual. she needs to get wheein off of her before she gets a heart attack. hyejin looked over at the girl. she looked so calm and happy, how could she take away wheein's arms and legs?
the sun had risen, pouring light into the room and painting the walls a deep orange. it was strange, hyejin never woke so early to see this (then again hyejin didn't even sleep). hyejin looked over, it was as if the sun was kissing wheein's skin. her porcelain body was shining, her face embodied peace. wheein was radiating. hyejin wished for the heat spreading on her face to disappear.
wheein grumbled, finally removing her body from hyejin's to turn to the other side. hyejin felt somewhat cold, as if the air was picking at her skin. this gave hyejin the opportunity to finally get up and brush her teeth (even though she didn't want too).
her heart tugged at the feeling of wheein. she wanted to cuddle with wheein once more, but her ego wouldn't let her.
even though hyejin didn't sleep at all, her body was energized. it was like she could run three marathons and still be able to beat everybody (maybe it was the adrenaline pulsing through her veins because of wheein's earlier bear-hugging, but hyejin would completely disagree and argue).
