THE MOON set a yellow glow upon the city. Even though the city of Euphoris was busy and beautiful (especially during the night), behind the rose-colored glasses was reality. Euphoris has a crime rate higher than any other city in the country, as a way for the citizens to cope with how bad the world was getting they all turned to Redlux, a video game company.
Now as a way to cope video games seems weird right? not really, at least not weird for most of Euphoris.
You see, the owner of Redlux, Wren Moriarty wanted to create an escape for the people. He created games like "Children of the Light," and "Realm" or "Spirits of Runes." All of which are adored by Moriarty's fans. I mean hell, I'm a Moriarty fan as well (If you couldn't tell already). The most recent game to be released in a few days is called Astoria.
The companies first VR game. Moriarty's fans have been hyping the game up and have been looking for sneak peeks for MONTHS, ever since Reddit user Jynx leaked the name of the game to Moriarty's fans. Jynx has a fanbase of their own, some who don't like them because of the leak, and the majority who worship them because of it.
Now speaking of Jynx, they have been a fan of Moriarty's work ever since his first game "Soulpoint" was in its beta, and has been known by the rest of the fans as an "Old God."
This silly nickname was dubbed by Moriarty's fans because of them being there since the beginning. And they have, apparently, Jynx was the first person to buy Soulpoint. And while the other fans say that they know this because of whispers across the internet, I would know that Jynx was the first person.
Because I am Jynx.
And I can't wait to play Astoria.
