BB
Balloon Boy, abbreviated to BB on the Custom Night screen, is one of the new minor antagonists in Five Nights at Freddy's 2.
Appearance
Balloon Boy is a small, human-like animatronic with peach-colored skin, as well as large blue eyes, a red triangular nose, red-brown hair, and bears a toothy grin. He wears a red and blue vertical striped shirt, with two buttons down the middle. The beanie he wears on his head also bears the same pattern of red and blue vertical stripes. He also wears blue pants, and brown shoes. His cheeks, like the "Toy" animatronics, are rosy as well.
In his right hand, he holds a red and yellow striped balloon, and in his left hand, he holds a sign that reads "Balloons!".
Behavior
BB starts in the Game Area and will eventually come to The Office via the Left Air Vent. With each of his movements, the player can hear him either saying "Hello", "Hi", or laughing. BB will not show up on any cameras except the Game Area and the Left Air Vent, making his location hidden.
He will not enter The Office if the player puts the Freddy Mask on while he is in the Left Air Vent's blind spot. If the player pulls up the monitor while BB is in the Left Air Vent's blind spot, he enters The Office, laughing constantly. Once inside, he disables the Flashlight and the Left and Right Air Vents' blind spot lights. This leaves the player susceptible to being attacked by Foxy, as well as being unable to check each vent's blind spot for other animatronics.
Once inside The Office, BB will not leave until the night ends, should the player survive.
FACTS:
Although BB is often a nuisance, he is not aggressive, and is the only animatronic who doesn't directly attack the player. However, if he appears in The Office, the player is left defenseless against Foxy and very vulnerable to any of the animatronics who might be in the air vents.
BB is the only animatronic that doesn't have a jumpscare.
BB is one of the few animatronics not hinted at in teasers for the game, the others being Toy Freddy, Toy Chica, and Chica.
It is said that BB's constant giggling and talking lures the newer animatronics into The Office, as that's where they think the customers are.
Strangely, BB can go under The Office table at some times. However, his eyes along with the blotches on his cheeks turn pink and both his nose and the red stripes on his beanie turn purple while he's there. It is possible that this is a Hallucination, or just the lighting of the room. It is also possible that it is another model of BB, though it is not seen anywhere else in-game.
When he is in the Left Air Vent, the balloon and sign he holds disappear. He appears to have retrieved them when he comes into The Office.
BB is the only animatronic that does not feature in the Death Minigames.
BB is the only animatronic that speaks in full words, with a non-distorted human voice.
BB is the only humanoid animatronic in the series.
BB is one out of two Toy animatronics whose endoskeleton eyes never show, the other being Toy Bonnie.
Out of all the animatronics, BB stays in the player's office the longest.
