Walking down 29th and park
Zak walked down the 29th street, and sat on a bench at the park. He decided he needed to get out more, even if he didn't want to.
Saw you in another's arms
The boy froze when he saw his ex-lovers hugging someone. He felt his heart break, even if they weren't together anymore.
Only a month we've been apart
Zak and and the other had only been apart for a month, and Darryl had already found another boy friend. Zak hadn't even gotten over Darryl, and he didn't think he ever would. The boy was his first love, and the love of his life. But clearly the other didn't feel the same.
You look happier
The older boy's smile was wider than he had ever seen it before, which destroyed Zak.
Saw you walk inside a bar
As Zak was watching the two, he saw that they went inside a bar, so he followed the couple inside.
He said something to make you laugh
The older burst out laughing. Maybe he was just trying to hurt Zak, maybe he wasn't. Zak knew he probably wasn't, but it sure seemed like it.
I saw that both your smiles were twice as wide as ours
The new couple smiled. Their smiles were twice as wide as Zak and Darryl's had been. Zak felt tears in his eyes, but he quickly wiped them away.
Yah, you look happier, you do
He reminded himself that Darryl was happier, shook his head, then walked away.
Ain't nobody hurt you like I hurt you
Zak knew that he was destroyed after the break up, but he also knew that the other boy had been hurt. When he had been walking down the city the next day, he had seen how much of a mess Darryl was.
But ain't nobody love you like I do
But even though Zak had hurt him so badly, he had loved him more than anyone else ever could.
