Here I am again, waking up at 8:00 a.m. I really hate my job. I'm so ready to graduate college and finally settle down with a nice job. Not a job, but a career. I grabbed my jean jacket and put on my black Hurraches and headed for the door. I have a little apartment not too far from the campus. My uncle Ricky got it for me as a high school graduation gift. He bought me this place fully furnished and had a brand new 2019 Audi waiting for me too. My Uncle Ricky been taking care of me ever since my mom passed away in a car wreck a couple years back. I remember it like it was yesterday. My mom was supposed to come pick me up from school and she never showed up. I was waiting there almost an hour when I saw my Uncle Ricky's blue truck pull up and I knew something must have been wrong because my mom was never late for anything. He got out the car and approached the school teacher, telling her that he was my moms brother and my mom had a car accident. I was so worried and scared I started crying and asking "Where's my mom Uncle Rick?", he replied "I'm going to take you to here right now!". She stayed alive for about 3 more days until she passed. Uncle Ricky has been my backbone ever since then. He did me the bigger stuff favor and helped me get into the University. Ever since I was in the 9th grade, attending Louisiana State University was the ultimate goal for me. He talked to a science professor that works and she made sure my entry essay was viewed early and I had a chance to choose between more than one option. There was no choosing though. LSU was my choice. I picked up my phone and saw "Uncle Rick is calling...". I picked it up and answered "Hey Unc, whats crackin'?". I forgot to mention, Uncle Rick is a BIG CRIP in New Orleans. He been selling dope since I remember, and he always had nice shit. "Hey Malaysia, how's school going?", he asked. "Everything's good Unc, I'm headed to work I'll call you later." "Aight baby girl, call me later, love you.", he said. I hung up and kept driving. I pulled into the mall parking lot and saw my best friend and co-worker, Amber, pulling up at the same time. "I know you tired of that basic ass black and white shirt", I yelled out. She screamed across the parking lot, "Man FUCK FOOTLOCKER!", as we both walked to the entrance door.
