He knows it isn't his job to do this. But the last few weeks kept his mind busy with sad and angry thoughts about everything, so he just started to use his powers to track down bad guys and stopping crimes every other evening. This time it was different. Those guys did him bad. He has been wounded and pushed into dirt and trash. Upon seeing him, Marinette couldn't hold back the shivering going down her spine. He didn't say anything to her, but she knows what he has been up to the past weeks. Chat sank down on her chair and buried his face in his hands, while the girl silently went downstairs to grab something to eat and to drink. Even though his stomach was spinning, he was touched by the small gesture.
They sat in her her room a little while as she noticed the dirt drying in his hair and suit. She silently stood up and turned on the water in the bath tub, putting some scented lotion into it. The boy heard what was going on, but his mind was to tired to wonder about it. He let her take his hand and lead him tot he bathroom. He slid into the hot water in full suit, he couldn't care less.
His body embraced the warmth and silence. Marinette came back into the room and put her chair behind his head, careful to not distress him in his calm state. She took the shower head and let the water run over his hair. He twitched as the water hit the top of his head but soon he liked the feeling. His hair was wet enough and she took some shampoo and gently massaged it into the dirty mess. He hasn't felt this good in a very long time. It was so nice to be cared for and he slowly felt better with every minute of her washing his hair. As his thoughts wandered of to a time long ago when he wasn't being on his own every day, he felt more and more melancholic. His hair was clean again and she patiently waited while he was washing his sore body. He wrapped himself into the towel appreciating the warmth of it. He smiled slightly as he realized she put it on the heater to keep it warm.
„Do you want to leave? You can stay here, if you want to." Those were the only words said this evening. Chat slowly made his way over to her bed, transformed back and laid down, careful of hiding his face. Marinette turned off the lights and sat next to him. His hand reached for hers and he pulled her carefully towards him, putting his head on her shoulder and crying silently as the sadness, melancholy and a strange feeling of home took over.
