I watched in silent terror as I saw a young man stabbing a woman in the house, through the outside of the window. I was walking back home when I started hearing screams coming from this house. It was dark outside and the only light source I had was the window. I looked closer at the male, I could tell he was wearing a white hoodie and black pants. I looked towards his face and he was very pale, and he was bleeding from his mouth.

Pulling out my phone I dialed 911. "911 What's your emergency?" They answered within a few seconds. "392 Stacey Street. My names (Y/N) (L/N). A person I guess male-"I stopped talking as I noticed the light go away. I looked up towards the window and at that moment time seemed to go by slow. "Ma'am?" The operator asked. I noticed the screen window. "Killed someone..." You said just above a whisper, hoping she heard. All the while staring into his wide blue eyes.

Not wasting any time, my fight or flight instinct kicked in and I ran. Adrenaline pumping through my veins. I ran as fast as I could. I've never been a runner but luckily my house isn't that far away. I hear footsteps behind me, fuck run (Y/N), RUN! Did I recognize him from somewhere? I swear I've seen them before! Ugh! Now's not the time! I turn a corner and I see my house. I couldn't hear the footsteps anymore but I'm not taking any chances.

Running up onto my porch quickly and body slammed my way through the first smaller screen door, slamming shut the wooden door and locking every lock. I let out many shaky breaths. I feel around my pockets for my phone. Wait. Where the hell is it? I just had it- Did I leave it there? Fuck Fuck fuck..FUCK! I cursed myself and ran my hands through my hair. The police will surely go over there right? Yea calm down (Y/N). All I have to do is barricade the house and listen for sirens and tomorrow I'll go down there and tell them it was me. Maybe they'll find my phone! I slowed my breathing down while placing my hand over my heart.

I sit down on my couch and shut my eyes. All my doors and windows have heavy duty locks on them. Ill be safe... No one can hurt me. I'm safe in my home. My sanctuary. My eyes open wide as I remember something. I stand up and get on my knees and take the cushions off the couch. I then pull the small string which pulls up a thin black cardboard cover. I breath a sigh of relief. My guns are still here. I smile gently and pick up my purple Glock 17 and caress it gently. I pick up one of the many already loaded clips and pop it in smiling bigger as it clips in place. I put two extra clips in my bra and place the cover back over my other two guns. I place the cushions back on the couch and stand up already feeling better.

I walked down the hall to an extra room and reach under the bed and grab the old shoe box. I open it and my green eyes land on the dagger. It was my mothers old dagger she gave to me. I run my fingers lightly over the engraved lions. My eyes landed on the handled and smiled at the blue jewel and the red pieces of yarn. She once told me that she bought this at a renaissance festival when she was in her20s-30s. I smiled remembering her, tears built in my eyes but I quickly wiped them away. Its all over now. She's gone. No one can hurt me or her anymore. Its over.

Standing up I put my gun in my Holster on my thigh and my dagger on my left leg. I walk out of the room back to the hallway and pull the attic open. If he followed me home then I will definitely see him up there because there are two windows that face the front and back of the house. And I have four cameras on the other two sides of my house. And in the attic I have a computer connected to the cameras.

I crawl up the stairs and pull the attic door shut leaving me in darkness.
Except the dim light radiating from the monitor.I slowly and quietly crawled to the back of the attic trying not to make to much noise in case he can hear from the outside if he is out there. I got to the black curtain, moving it slighting to peek out. It was pitch black out side and all I could see was the small field of grass and a wooded area.
