Adventures and Explorations of Furniture

Furniture is an object used daily and yet it hardly gets any recognition. No one stops to wonder how it came to be, and yet the tales are quite extravagant in their own nature. There exist many love stories scattered across history but the untold ones are those of the most importance. The ones that established the necessary creations we have come to know today. The tale of how the table came to be is one that has been unknown for centuries but it will now finally be revealed.

It began on a cold winter's day many decades ago. A young maiden was guiding a wagon towards camp. Her wagon was full of supplies for these warriors as they were currently involved in a great battle. These supplies consisted of a variety of useful things the girl could find. Among these items were a long wood log and an old circular wooden shield. Unbeknownst to this maiden, these two objects had fallen deeply in love with each other. They had been abandoned in a town where the war had caused much destruction. Since these two items were stuck with each other for so long, they decided to get to know one another. They discovered that they had much in common and vowed never to part. One day a maiden came along and tossed them into a run-down wagon. They were worried at first, but at least they had each other. They arrived to a campsite where men in armor were bustling around, some relaying orders to others. The wagon seemed to have gained attention as many of the men turned and rushed toward it. Many items were taken from the wagon, including the log and the shield. These items felt lost as they traveled in the hands of different men. They didn't know how they could live without each other. Luckily, they were both brought to the same tent. The men that carried them seemed to be informing some leader of the arrival of more supplies. They were in desperate need of more equipment. As the log and shield observed their surroundings, they noticed the mess of it all. Everything was strewn about the ground. No order to any of it. Battle plans were spread across the ground covered in dirt. The leader of the men seemed to be looking at the dirty battle plans too. "If only we had someplace we could set this. Someplace away from all the mess," commented the Leader. The men agreed that better conditions would be favorable but such an object did not exist. Alas, there was little hope. "Well it's time we get back to the front lines, sir," said one of the men as they picked up the shield. The log was left to stay in the tent with other supplies. The shield couldn't believe what was happening. There was no way the shield would let itself be separated from the log. In a fit of panic, the shield launched itself out of the man's hands. It flew towards log so quickly that the log impaled it at the center. Now the two objects were merged as one. The men stood very confused, but one of them had an idea. He picked up this strange new object and impaled the other side of the log into the ground. The man then picked up the battle plans and placed them upon the top of the flat shield. They found the solution to one of their issues that day. This new creation was deemed the "table." The two objects got to live the rest of their days together. They were never forced to separate again. Their love was so strong that it brought about a new creation to enrich the world. A creation that later became an important and classic staple in the modern world.

These ancient tales that describe the creation of valuable goods have ceased to exist in modern times. However, important stories will always find a way to creep back into existence. The truth about the past will always be revealed, just as love will always find a way...
