Reawakening

Fate. Whatever you want to call it, is something I've never believed in mostly because it's something like that seems unbelievable.

Yet this, the situation I'm placed in, can't just be mere coincidence.

As a single vile of a certain serum flies through the sky, heading straight for the location of something important, my body, the clouds decide to let some sunlight shine upon me.

And as the impossible is made possible, I am reawakened, my blank mind filling itself quickly.

As my brain restarts, with the rest of my body being sent into overdrive to repair itself, I am presented with two distinct unforgettable memories.

The first memory of a girl. A teenage girl named Alea. It's is late 2009 as I lay sit down next to her.

We are both smiling. And then she shyly pulls me into a kiss, one so loving it would probably make your heart melt. As she pulls away, she hugs me smiling, still in a daze, giggling cutely. She makes a promise to that day. With a strong loving gaze she states she would never leave my side or hurt me in any way.

I foolishly believe her.

She proclaims her love for me once more.

Then the second memory has taken a darker turn.

It's mid 2010. The girl that has pledged her eternal love to me is seen standing over a bloodied me, it is unclear what is being said but she is clearly in a bad mood.

She's going to kill me.

She kneels down to me, forcing her lips on mine, losing all the gentleness she gave me before. Giving me everything she would never do to me, forcing her tongue to taste the iron Flavor that flooded my mouth.

I question whether everything was lie. No that wasn't it... I question whether if it was really was the same girl I had met and fell in love with.

As I try to reason with her, she quickly hugs me, apologizing to me. That comes as yet another shocker. The only part of her from before, returning.

She stands up, never looking back to check on me. She's shaking, like she's trying to hold something back.

I don't seem to recall why, but I smiled tears flowing from my eyes. I felt horrifyingly comfortable hearing my thumping heartbeat slowly fade away along with the world around me.

Time seemed to slow around me as even more countless memories flood my head as if I'm trying to find a solution to my problem. Though knowing it is too late, I take comfort drowning in the overflow of my thoughts.

A final thought is clear to me. Alea's smiling face, still beautiful as the morning dew. My hands raising one last time as if I'm holding hers. Smiling falling into the pit of death.

Of course, this wouldn't be the last time I'd see her.

As I begin to feel my entire body again, flowing with strength, giving me a feeling of power greater than before, I awake with fright, breathing in hard as I take a look at the morning sunrise, with cold dew in the air.

The coldness I felt before, melted away by the morning light, placing a cozy happy feeling in me, that wasn't dreadful.

That is before I began hyperventilating. This situation I'm was not natural at all and all memories of the past make me dread what happened while I was dead.

"What the actual hell" Were words as I stood up in a shocked state.

That reminded me, did I go to hell? I don't really remember, but that train of thought was stopped as I began running in dread in the forest.

No, that really wasn't the case. After running for a minute straight I barely hit the sidewalk. People were looking at me weirdly.

Oh that's right. I look like I just ran through a tornado. Messy hair, dirty face, ripped clothes.

Today isn't my day. Wait, no I've only been alive for a few minutes now. The last memories of mine haven't been my day.

My last memories...

That's right, I died at Alea's hands.

A sudden wave of guilt and negativity came over me.

What exactly happened? I thought I had died. And how long have have I been dead?

And most importantly, What has Alea been up to all this time?
