Someone Like Noodles

Story #23

Hand in hand, charli and noodles skipped towards the aquarium, talking about anything that crossed their minds.
"We're gonna see all the fishyyyssss!" Charli laughed.
"And don't forget the sharks," noodles informed as he started the dance of baby shark. Together they stepped inside, engulfed by excitement. The minute they handed over their money, they high fived and carried on inside. Noodles gasped as they came across the first tank,he pointed, the octopus was a vibrant orange with blue rings decorating its body.
"Aww it's so prettyyy," charli cooed, spreading her fingers on the tank.
"Hey but Ur obviously prettier duH," noodles cheekily responded, planting a small kiss on her head. Charli grinned,
"OMG SEASHORSES!" She gestured to the next tank and scampered over, noodles following in her wake.
"Did u know seahorses mate for life," noodles smiled, patting her head.
"And did u know that the male seahorses are pregnant with the babies," charli laughed and she too patted his head. Noodles laughed and then grabbed her hand in his, swinging Their hands as they walked.
"Holy moly-" charli gestured towards the enormous tank filled to the brim with colourful fish and-
"WOAH LOOK AT THAT SHARK!" Noodles exclaimed, an excited grin on his face. They scampered over and smushed their faces against the glass, desperate to get a better look. The shark swam powerfully, the other fish in the tank scattered away in fear. Charli laughed,
"Look at that bad boi," she pointed to a really Reallllyyy tiny shark that roamed around the coral.
"Aww I bet he's the toughest tho," noodles said brightly. Charlis stomach gurgled,
"I'm starving," she playfully whined and noodles fake sighed.
"Fish and chips??" He asked and charli nodded happily. They ordered their food at the cafe and sat down in the comfiest seats. Noodles stretched his arms, but stopped midway,
"Isn't that- isn't that Melanie lmao??" And there, right in the corner of the cafe, sat Melanie all alone, with her hands in her lap. Charli half stood up but quickly sat down when she saw that a guy appeared next to Melanie. Melanie smiled and hugged him,
"Alright she's fine," charli sighed in relief, "he could've been a kidnapper," charli cackled and   Instantly shut up when she saw her plate of food places in front of her.
"Enjoy," the waiter smiled warmly and noodles licked his lips as he layered his chips with salt.
"Rip fishy's," charli closed her eyes for dramatic effect. She popped them open and stuffed the food in her mouth. At least 10 minutes later, noodles patted his belly,
"Boi am I full," and he wrapped an arm around charli. She eyed his last few chips and then just gulped them down, I mean, he did say he was full.
"Well I must say, thank u for this amazing day," charli shyly smiled, resting her head on his shoulder.
"My absolute pleasure," and he kissed her forehead. Charli suddenly jumped up
"WE FORGOT THE PETTING POOL!" And she quickly grabbed his hand, dragging him to stroke the sea urchins and all that stuff.
