Chapter 5

WARNING:DEATH

[5th night of the final selection]

It was just the beginning of night time. Haze and Minami both already gained injuries after fighting different demons for the past 4 nights.

"Why does 7 nights feel like forever?!" Haze complained.

"Ma, Ma Haze-San. We just have 2 nights left that's not so long." MINAMI smiled.

"Tsk How can you be positive at times like this." Haze groaned as the hid behind a tree.

Later on they felt a bad aura around.

"Wh-what's that" Haze nervously asked.

"A demon. Something that has eaten atleast 60"Minami observed the surrounding.

" Hiw do you say"Haze whispered.

"It's sound." Minami surely answered..

The two youngsters held their katanas to prepare for battle though they focused more on escaping. They know they might die if they fight this one.

It was not long when they heard a scream. Minami looked back and saw a girl terrified by the Demon.

'I got to help' She thought.

"MINAMI-chan com'on" Haze whispered.

"Sorry Haze-San, You can GO I'll fight." MINAMI then carefully ran to the demon hiding from one tree to another.

"Arggh that girl" Haze Irritatedly followed her.

Minami watched as the demon was about to devour the girl she'll save. There, she made her move and slashed the demon's arm. The girl was released and she ordered her to run.

"Oho Nice eyes you got there." The four eyed demon complimented.

"Well thankyou Mr. Demon." MINAMI said with a smile.

"I haven't eaten a meal as good as this for the last 10 years." The demon exaggerated it's 6 arms.

"Ne, Mr. Demon, How many have you eaten ever since?" Minami asked with an irritating smile.

"fufufu I have eaten atleast 20 of you filthy children and Have eaten 46 when I was free. You sure you can beat me?" He giggled.

"Breath of song, First Form:HUM"

"Tch you think you can-" The demon tried to talk but Minami hushed him and started to hum to try Hypnotising the demon. She moved fast and tried to slash the enemy but the demon moved faster than her.
It appeared right at her back.

"Too slow" The demon teased.

Minami quickly dodged the attack.

"That's playing dirty Mr. Demon." She complained still smiling.

"fufufu Just a demon slayer wanna be. Just give up. You're too weak." The demon giggled and started to move as fast as a lightning. His laughs was heard everywhere which cause confusion to minami's sense of hearing.

The young girl tried to observe his moves but he is just too fast.

As he was about to attack, Minami was able to swing her sword to block it but it made a strong impact making her Fly off and hit a tree.

She blacked out.

As she was unconscious, she heard a voice.

"Mimi-chan... Wake up... Someone's waiting for you... You need to Fight."

Minami opened her eyes. Her body shivered.

"Haze-San!" She shouted in horror seeing her friend being devoured by the Demon.

"M-Minami-chan..." The young boy manage to utter.

'Tsk How long have I blacked out.' She thought'this is my fault'

She shook her head and focused.

"HAZE-SAN PLEASE HOLD ON!" She shouted.

"Oho still alive? I was planning to devour you but this boy showed up" the demon laughed.

Minami glared evily on the demon's eye. This made the enemy uncomfortable and lose focus to his food.

The young girl started to move. She immediately grabbed her comrade.

"Haze-San... I'm sorry... Please hold on.. Don't die.." She begged the Almost dead boy as she placed him behind a tree. She then ran to the demon.

"Ne, Ne Mr. Demon, Would you want to leave this place?" The young girl asked with a smirk.

"what made you think of that I won't leave!" The demon shouted.

"Ara Ara,You're so hard headed." MINAMI giggled then gave an evil smile to the demon.

"Ne, Mr. Demon, You made me super angry." MINAMI held her blade up.

"Since you made me angry, I guess you deserve a punishment! Oh! Perfect! I wanted to try one form to you!" she stood straight.

"Y-you can't k-kill me!" The demon shivered down to his spine.
"YOU CAN'T" He shouted then extended his 6 arms and tried to attack but even before it reached the blue eyed girl, She disappeared.
A field of light is now in front of the evil creature. Songs was heard from everywhere. He started to be calm.

"Maybe... Maybe...i should put an end to my evilness..." He thought as his head fall to the ground.

"Breath of song, Fifth form:Song if death"

Miname was found at his back. She then looked at the pitiful creature as it crumbled to Ash.

"Please be at peace" She whispered then ran to Her friend.

"Haze-San!" She carried the boy on her shoulders causing blood stains on her clothes.

"Sorry... This is my fault..." She said tears falling.

"D-don't say t-that..." Haze weakly said.

"Come, We'll heal your injuries... So hangon... OK?" MINAMI said trying to help him but the young boy hesitated.

"St-stop... I'll die even you do that..." He said holding Minami's hands that was shaking. He wiped the tears of his beloved friend.

"com'on don't be like that... I-it's so unusual for you...I-I like you better smiling..." He whispered.

"Here take this..." He handed minami a pair of earrings with snowflake pendant.

"I-I trust you... I know... You can pass this... I-I have a favor... Can y-you do it?" He asked minami as he spits blood.

"h-Haze-San..." MINAMI responded.

"Please... Pass down that earring..." He said then cupped the cheeks of Minami.

"I-I will.. I promise..." MINAMI held the boy's hand as it was on her cheeks.

"I... Love... You..." haze said barely inaudible causing minami not to hear it. There,He lost his life. His hands were as cold as ice then when Minami Reased it, It fell straightly to the ground.

The girl stood up and wiped her tears away. She wore the earrings her beloved friend gave her.

"Sayonara... Please be at peace... Arigatou... Thankyou for being the first friend I had in my second life.."
She said then left.

A/N:GOMMENASAI I NEEDED TO KILL HAZE-SAN!
ANYWAY,WHAT YOU GUYS THINK WILL HAPPEN? THERE IS STILL 2 NIGHTS LEFT. WILL MINAMI BE ABLE TO SURVIVE IT ALONE?
