3. Prince Conner

Chloe had an idea forming in her head as she headed home. She wasn't sure if it would be good enough, but if it wasn't, she'd try again. Princess Beca's idea of making a good argument intrigued her and it's what motivated her to return home immediately.

When she finally gets to the castle, she sneaks to the garden to fully conduct her idea. But when she reaches the center of the garden, she sees Prince Conner sitting on a bench in the gazebo. The prince hears some leaves ruffle and looks up to see the redhead. "Chloe! Where have you been!?!" He yelled in anger as she approached.

"Don't yell at me!" She screamed back. "And it's none of your damn business! This is MY kingdom, MY home, and you do not get to control me! I can do as I please. I'm not your wife and I'm gonna make sure I never am. You talk nothing, but of yourself and you have NO respect for me whatsoever. I am not some maid or butler that you can just boss around. I am a princess and clearly better than the prince you yourself are. I respect other people royal or not. I don't treat them as if I'm better than them. I treat them as equals as much as possible. They're still human, still people no matter if they're peasants or royalty. You are a PRICK! And I'm gonna make sure our contract is nullified and burned. Good day, Prince Prick!" She yelled and ran inside up to her chambers not giving him the chance to talk again.

Once Chloe reached her chambers, she slammed the doors shut and locked them. "AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" She screamed out in anger with her fists in the air. "I HATE HIM!!!!" There's a bang on her chamber doors. "GO AWAY!"

"It's just me, You're Highness. I'm sorry to disturb you, but your father is in the throne room asking to see you."

With a reluctant sigh, the redhead opens the door. "Thank you, Sandra. I'll be right down."

Chloe quickly fixes herself up and heads to the throne room where the king is seated on his throne looking displeased. "Nice of you to join us, Chloe." He said in a gruff voice.

"You look displeased, Father. May I ask why?"

"Prince Conner has informed me that you had disappeared for quite a few hours earlier today in his presence. Then when you came back, you disrespected him. Can I ask what that is about?"

"I 'disappeared' because I needed to breathe. He would talk of nothing, but himself and I was livid." She began air quoting the word disappeared. "He wouldn't let me tell him anything I like to do or anything. Just told me to shut up and listen. The guy is a prick. A tool, disrespectful, and more along those lines. I couldn't take it anymore, so I left to be alone for a while. I was hoping he'd finally let me speak once I got back, but he just yelled at me like I was some maid to be bossed around. I told him off and went to my chambers."

"That's a lie!" Prince Conner yelled out standing next to the king.

"Quiet!" The king yelled out to him. "It's my job to determine if she is lying or not. Chloe, a maid has informed me she heard screams coming from your chambers."

"Yes. I was screaming out my anger from what had happened because of HIM." She emphasized pointing at the prince. "I would never lie to you. What's the point? Besides, your my father and I love you. Lying to you would be completely pointless. I've never lied before and I'm not about to start now. You can't possibly go through with this contract and make me marry him."

"You are my fiancée and I say you WILL marry me." Prince Conner demanded.

"Enough!" The king yelled. "I'm sorry, Chlo, but it's already been done. The contract was made as soon as we found out you were a girl when you were born. It's completely binding and legal. There's nothing I can do to change that. And I believe you, so I'll be having a talk with the prince. You may go."

Chloe was silently crying by now, but she nodded and ran off back into the woods.
