15 years later
I stared at my moms lifeless body in the hospital bed and I showed no emotion. I didn't want all these people seeing me when I was down.

She wrote me a letter telling me about her cancer and gave me some numbers to call and the combination to the safe.

She put the house in my grandma Gail's name so we could stay here. I had a live in personal bodyguard and so did Maw maw Gail. 

I made my way out the hospital room and home while the people my mom knew were in the room mourning her death such as me. I had my driver to take me back home and I went into my room taking the letter that was in a red and black envelope sealed with a vanilla bean Noel scent that my mother knew I loved.

I know I probably should have told you earlier but I had breast cancer. When you were in my belly I found out your dad had a wife after a 10 year relationship together. I got so stressed that I fell out after leaving him and had to go to the hospital. There I found out I was pregnant, I went to your aunt and uncles where they told me they knew about it. You can call your cousin Jr. at 980-283-3492, he will answer for you. Tell him your mom is April and tell him that you need him at the house he'll know what it meant. I love you baby I really do. Make sure you use that voice for good , I made sure that your cousin knows your voice is golden and that you need a deal for singing. The code to the safe is 031405 the day I got my heart broken. I got my phone and called the number up. "Hello" said a deep voice that seemed out is breath. "Hey I'm looking for a jr.." I said a little nervous. "Speaking, look man what do y'all want bro" he said sounding aggravated.  "Umm, my moms name is April and she wanted me to tell you we need you at the house" I heard shuffling around "not already aunt April" I heard as it sounded like he was now getting up. "I'll be there in a couple hours" I nodded like he could see me. "Okaye" I said the hung up.

I made my way to the bathroom to clean off my mothers blood. Before we went to the hospital she started coughing the blood up and bleeding at the nose and I had to help her. I hopped in the shower as I put on my music. I thought long and hard, I never knew my father and to hear what he did I don't think I ever would want to know. Grandma Gail was gonna plan the funeral and was gonna have it Sunday since it we weren't gonna have a lot of people.

I listened to my sad playlist. I have anxiety and I can't be alone for to long. I thought about my mom and busted out crying letting the water hit my breast as I slid down the wall and bought my knees to my chest. "babygirl are you okay, you need to lay down"

I looked out and saw my live in bodyguard/bestfriend Dremond in my bathroom with my towel ready for me to come out. It was one of my moms younger bodyguards from when she was singing so she just told him to look after me instead. He's 16 so I kinda understand why she would give me the younger ones and keep the older ones. 

"Yeah Dre I'm good close your eyes so I can get out" he closed his eyes and I stepped out going into his arms as he wrapped the towel around me. He kissed my forehead leaving out. I put on my underwear and bra then my fuzzy bunny onesie and slippers. I just left my hair how it was cause my bob was wet and my hairs thick so it'll take a while to dry. I laid down in my bed in bed.

I walked down stairs to see a tall light skinned dude and some girl in his arm complaining about being here along with a kinda heavyset man with a cane  and a women on his shoulder. When I came downstairs they all stared at me so I stared back at them.
