The first time

Chapter One 

Katie was asleep in bed when she received a call on her phone from the title 'Vince' Rave had been up at the time, bathing his month old daughter, Aurora when it had rung. He picked it up and held the phone between his ear and shoulder as Aurora splashed in the tub. Before hearing a strong, confident, southern voice speak up, "Yo Boss!" Rave raised an eyebrow at the caller and switched shoulders as his meak voice piped up and answered, "Hello?" The voice didn't hesitate to answer back with, "Okay who the fuck is this? This ain't Katie" Rave pour some warm water over Aurora before saying, "Yeah, I know" and that's all Vince got. Vince huffed on the other side, "Can I know who this is?" Rave drained the tub and swaddled Aurora in a fluffy towel picking her up, "This is Katie's boyfriend and baby daddy" Rave cradled Aurora in one arm and held the phone away from his ear as he heard this 'Vince' guy began to yell, "FARZ KATIE HAD A KID!!" A small male voice replied in the background "YOOOOO HOLD UP WAIT WHAT!?" Rave shook his head and that's when Katie woke up and said, "Dammit Vincey why the fuck are you so loud?" Rave shrugged and tossed Katie's phone over, setting Aurora in her crib as he went threw the dresser for an outfit for the small. Katie caught the phone and put it up to her ear, "Vince shut the fuck up" Rave stared at the outfit he grabbed for a second in wonder before coming back over to Aurora and picking her up to get her dressed. Katie watched Rave for a moment and gave him a thumbs up returning to said caller. "What do you need Vince?" She asked with a questioning voice. "They're fighting again!?" Rave heard her say and sighed, Rave was about to tune them out when he heard Katie shuffling around to put on some decent clothes, "One second I'll be right there" she paused grabbing a gun off her desk, "Of course I can get there by myself" Thats when Rave stopped her, he grabbed her arm and shook his head, "You aren't leaving Katie you're pregnant" And Rave was right, he and Katie found out the sorta bad news a week after Katie had been raped, Rave hated every second knowing the baby wouldn't be his, but he knew he couldn't ask Katie to have an abortion, they were her kids after all and he wouldn't do that to her just because of his pride, so he swallowed it down. Katia shook Rave's hand off her wrist and rolled her eyes, "I'll be fine, Aaron got shot, I've gotta stop it" and with that Katie kissed Rave's cheek and ran out the bedroom door, "Hey!" Rave called after, he gave Aurora to their roommates, Ren and Peony who surprisingly was expecting a litter of kittens themselves. Peony had met Ren when he had been kidnapped and those two clicked almost instantly, Ren was a fox boy, Peony a Neko, they seemed stable enough even with each others past. Ren took Aurora in a confused manner and watched as Rave's wings spread out and he flew after Katie. Peony happily messed with Aurora watching her as Ren decided to get breakfast started. 

Rave had changed into crow form halfway there, his wings growing tired, how far away was this damn warehouse!? Katie broke inside and Rave could hear yelling and then a gunshot, the crow boy flew in to see the scene, but before he could get a good look a man grabbed the crow by his neck and stopped his airway. Rave squawked and pecked at his hand but the man only held him tighter, "Stop struggling, Katie did you let this thing in?" Katie looked over and laughed, "Put him down, he's fine" The man growled and soon enough Rave's feet where on the ground again, he tried to play it off, pecking the floor, but his phone that he had nudged between his wing went off and fell, Rave's first thought was to sit on it but Katie picked him up and held him like a chicken, pocketing her boyfriend's phone, "Sneaky Rave, very Sneaky" Rave squawked again, hey! Hes just a crow, Katie ignored him, barking some orders, she looked and sounded so expressionless her, while at home she was so cheery! Rave shook the thought from his head, once everyone had gone back to work Rave transformed into his humanoid form and reached for his phone but Katie slapped his hand away, "Bad boy Rave." Rave whined, he needed his phone for work, Katie growled and barked an order at someone else, while she was distracted Rave found her gun and decided to hide it, he sat on his knees and hid the gun between his thighs as he waited, Katie started looking for her gun a couple of moments later, "Rave." she said with a serious tone, "Give me my gun" Rave shook his head, and Katie grabbed his chin roughly, "Now." Rave hesitantly shook his head again and Katie grabbed his phone, "I'll break it." Rave flinched and spread his thighs, showing off the gun. "Give it to me," Katie growled holding her hand out. Rave yet again shook his head and Katie kicked him in his sack, Rave bit his lip in pain and held out the gun with a shaky hand. Katie took it back and gave him his phone with a disapproving look. Rave sat there like a good boy before Katie picked him up after putting the gun away and taking him to her office, but all Rave could think about was who that man had been...
