Chapter Four

And here it is folks! Chapter Four as promised!^^. Imma just jump right into this chapter for y'all so.. Enjoy!

”That was Adam.” Shiro put heavy emphasis on ‘was’. He walked past in the kitchen, looking around for some of their things. “We were going to get married. But he was killed. About three years ago now. He was nineteen. Almost twenty.”

Shiro was talking about it as if it were nothing to him anymore, but it was painful. He hated looking at the image. He looked too young with his fully black hair. He sighed as he reached up and grabbed their leashes.

Shiro’s two dogs were attempting to play with Cosmo on the little patch of grass next to the driveway.

Keith's face dropped and felt a little bad for shiro"wow..thats sad actually,but you talk about it as if its nothing. Why is that?"

Keith walked over to him and leaned on the counter"aren't you sad that you lost the love of your life?"

”Hurts everyday.” Shiro said, picking up some dog toys. “Can’t linger on pain though.” He shrugged a little. “He knows I miss him.”

He stood there for a moment and then walked back through the house and towards the car. He stepped outside and opened the back doors. “Stella. Ruby.” He whistled and the dogs walked towards the car and got into the seats. Stella was visibly the oldest. Compared to three year old ruby, her twelve years was pretty old.

Keith followed and sat in the back seat with Cosmo,Stella,and ruby. Honestly he liked sitting by three dogs,nice dogs. "So,how did he die?"Keith asked a little worried that shiro might begin to cry and Keith doesn't do well when people begin to cry

He looked up at shiro and began to feel...feelings for him?no that can't be right..besids Keith isn't gay.  Right??

Shiro got into the front seat, throwing the dogs things into the passenger seat. He started the car and reversed out.

He sighed at Keith’s question. “I was doing some ‘business’, and he was waiting in the area for me. I didn’t know there were more than the group I was after.” Shiro ran a hand through his hair as he headed back to the highway. “They knew me and Adam were connected so decided to go ahead and shoot him until he was barely recognisable.”

Shiro shrugged a little after that. He’d always struggled with his emotions since.

Keith sat back in his seat surprised"so,does that happen to everyone you know..cuz now I'm a little worried"

Keith knew he shouldn't be afraid or anything but for some reason he felt safe around shiro,that kinda freaked him out

Now Keith's new plan was to hide the fact that he might be gay and like shiro instead of fighting his parents on the whole babysitting thing

”Well they did the same to my parents and my best friend.” Shiro said, looking back at Keith through the mirror.

”But I doubt it. Pretty much everyone knows not to mess with your parents. Even if I’m there they know Krolia and Kolivan would have their heads.”

Keith felt at ease after hearing those words. Cosmo jumped up front with shiro and lay in his lap

Keith gasped and tried to keep Cosmo with him,but he was to slow to catch him in time.he covered his mouth waiting for what might come next

A car crash?Cosmo getting kicked out of the car?who knows.keith was scared for his dog and sat their watching the two wondering what shiros gonna do

Shiro initially thought it was Stella at first, knowing she got anxious in the car, but he looked in the mirror and saw her lay down with Keith. He looked down briefly and saw the blue fur.

All he did was gently pat the dogs fur, pulling off a junction and driving down the main road towards Keith’s place. He was more than used to dogs in his lap whilst driving.

Keith felt great relief and even smiled a little bit"I honestly thought Cosmo was done for"he calmed himself

Later while in the car,it got quiet and very awkward and Keith doesn't know how to start a conversation

”I’m more than used to dogs on my lap.” Shiro said, keeping his eyes on the road as he stopped at a red light. He folded his arms and yawned. It was a cross light so they’d be there for a while.

He looked back. “Stella.” The old dog raised her head. “You okay baby?” Her tail wagged and she got to her feet momentarily, licking at Shiro’s face, making him smile gently.
