Steven's POV
I warp home and quietly try to get in through the sliding door that leads to my room, but it's locked. Strange. I really didn't want to stir the gems and have them aware that I am home, but I have no other choice. I get down and knock on the front door, seeing them in the living room. I try to do it quietly, but despite the fact that I was very light with it, it still cracks the nearest window and they all turn to find me, pinker, taller and more muscular than when I left.
"Stee-man!"
"Steven!"
"Steven!" They all come running to the door, open it and immediately engulf me in hugs.
"Tell us what is happening with you Steven! We are worried sick are you!" Amethyst demands. I decide to tell them a little so they won't pestering me.
"Fine. I'll tell you, but you better be happy with what you get," I walk over and sit on the couch, run my hand through my hair, and begin. "It all started when I... well, I... umm... you guys will think I'm crazy if I told you... when... let's just say I was in a fight with Jasper."
"Wh-wha-what! You fought Jasper?!!!! Are you crazy!" Pearl shouts.
"Steven, you could have gotten seriously hurt!" Garnet points out.
"Stee-men, you've seen what she can do! Wait... It was the day you were talking to me about fixing her, wasn't it?! You went to talk with her, and she lost her temper on you!" Amethyst shrieks.
"Would you all just calm. DOWN!" I scream at all of them and I see their fear for me quickly turn into fear for their lives. "Now. She was about to crush my chest when she started to call me pitiful and weak. I completely lost it and turned pink. It gave me strength and speed, power and agility. It felt good. Like I could do anything. Hurt her. Torture her. Even shatter her! I kept hitting her, and she didn't even get one hit on me until I punched her in the back of her head so hard that she made a huge hole in the ground. Then I calmed down. I can't believe I did that. I couldn't have done that," Yes you did, admit it to yourself. "No I didn't, I'm Steven Universe. I help people, I don't hurt them," But you have hurt many. You shattered Jasper recently, and you just tried to shatter White Diamond. "That wasn't on purpose!" Steven, I'm trying to help you. Listen to me.
"Steven, who are you talking to?" Amethyst asks, concerned.
"No one," No one. That's my new name. "Please, just leave me alone," Alright. We can talk later if you want. Just please remember, I'm here to help. Tell me anything. I'm here for you Steven. "Alright," The voice leaves me and I set me eyes on the gems again. "I'll be in my room,"
"Steven let us what just happened, and tell us how you feel, please," Amethyst says as she grabs my arm. My pink glow fills the whole room as I whip around to see the defective staring at me in fear.
"You want to know? You REALLY want to know?! Fine! I feel like I want to leave Earth. I want to leave Earth and do something bad. Maybe... I don't know... shatter someone?!"
"Steven, why would you even think about that?!" Pearl shrieked.
"Because I've done it before. It satisfies the urge for power I long for, a good source of revenge. Before grief takes over. What are you thinking Universe?! I don't shatter! Well, I did shatter Jasper and just try to shatter White Diamond," I start to whisper as I say the words. "I'm going to my room." I quickly speed up, go to my room, and move heavy things in front of it. I feel a song coming on, and it's familiar, why is it so familiar? Familiar, like something I used to know? (Reference).
(When he says 'you' he means the Crystal Gems)
Steven:
"Everybody told me gem stuff's dangerous
Guess I didn't believe them
Until now
I always seemed apprehensive
But now I'm really freaking out
What do I do?
I don't want that for you." My phone starts to ring. The gems are trying to call me, they can't get through the door. (It is the same ringtone as the song.)
"Everybody tells me life is precious
On the planet Earth

What if somehow I hurt you

"I don't want that for you." I sing along with the ringtone. "Oooh. Oooh.
