.⋆。A/N: Hello! I apologise for the interruption but we're (almost) at the end of Nightfall, so I thought I'd take up a little bit of your time to chat. Thank you all for your support whether it's in the form of voting, commenting or even just clicking on this story – I am forever beyond grateful.
Initially, I wanted to make this story longer (think Burnt Towns long) but I have always struggled with the concept of cheating so I figured if I keep writing, I still wouldn't get to a desired ending. I won't try to impose my beliefs here but perhaps I'll elaborate more on Idle Chat. Here, I'd like to read your opinions!
Ergo, after a lot of doodling (a lot!), I have come to a (somewhat) satisfactory end that I hope you are pleased with as well. Although, I have a feeling it might not be what you may have expected...
Before continuing, do you mind telling me your predictions for the ending here? ;)

P.S. The next chapter will be in Alec's POV (just like the preface was in Theo's)... so, you might want to say goodbye to Clo now.

[FRN] finale of a group of dancers.
CLO HAD ALWAYS BEEN A LIGHT SLEEPER.
Ergo, a mere movement or noise would wake her up ever since she was little. And lately, she considered herself lucky if she got even four hours of sleep. It surprised her how she never saw Wilhelm in her nightmares – shouldn't there have been some trauma? Instead, her nightmares had people who she loved more than life.
Life was funny like that.
She exhaled softly, trying to swallow the lump in her throat. Clo wondered if she would ever feel content in life as she laid there and gently squeezed the hand on her stomach. His naked body against hers provided equal shame and happiness.
"Morning," he murmured against her back, making her smile.
Even he knew it wasn't that 'good'.
There was a dull ache in her body which caused her cheeks to become slightly warmer as she turned around to face him.
"Are you expecting a candle lit bath with bubbles and more sex?" She whispered up at him before leaning into kiss his lips.
Even though he didn't smile, the look in his eyes softened, letting her know he definitely was not opposed to the idea. She supposed she would have loved it as well if it wasn't for a nagging voice in her head.
