Last day of Year 12

I stand on my tippy-toes, searching the sea of people that are walking through the corridors. I look at the faces of all the guys, analyzing them. I rub my thumbs against the large, white, rectangular stickers in my palm. I glance at the stickers and flick through them, making sure that each has a number from 1 to 52. Relieved that they do and that I was worried for no reason, I return my attention towards the guys.

After what seemed like ages (but my Pandora watch told me it was only 2 minutes), a boy catches my eye. He has untidy, fiery red hair, hazel eyes hiding under black-rimed spectacles. Thoseglasses will need to be changed with contacts. I think to myself. He has a small jaw, freckles on his cheeks and nose and nice lips, good for kissing. He also has wide, sturdy shoulders and a fantabulous body frame!

I swiftly move towards him until I stand in front of him. The crowd stops moving so I don't get trampled on. Its not a nice gesture, it's a vital one. It's what I expect from Aberdeen High. I mean, who would want to be the one who is responsible for trampling Aberdeen High's Primo Girl, Jessica Mason?

The guy looks down at me, in utter shock as I place the sticker with the number "1" on it on his chest. I just smile my signature, star-dazzling smile to him and say:

"See you January the first, babe."

Before walking, or should I say strutting back to my original spot, I blow him a kiss. The boy just stands there, surprised, until a smile creeps up his face when he realizes what just happened. The people around coo and whoop because, I, Jessica Mason have just told him that he will be my first boyfriend of 2014.

I proceed in finding more boys until all 52 sticker have been placed on chests.

I lean against a pole that holds up my balcony upstairs. My back's to the front door. I sigh sadly as I watch boyfriend #12 drive further away from Mason Manor. I don't even remember he's name and we had broken up only 5 minutes ago! Was it John, or Paul? Or perhaps it was Andy? I check my texts from him. It was Andy, John and Paul were two of my other ex-boyfriends.

Without thinking twice, I go on "Notes" and write his name next to the number 12. I go onto my website and post an update to #13 that he needs to come to Mason Manor immediately. The details are on a page on my website. I also change my status from "In a relationship" to "Out of a relationship" though I knew I'd have to change it back soon. No one ever says "no" to Jessica, ever! I decide to post another message on my message board. With quick fingers, I type,

Boys only want love if it's torture.

I have a way around here. I date around 52 boys each year. I go out with them for a week and if we are still in love by the end of that week, we continue dating until we break up. We usually last a week though, I think it's because all the guys realize who I actually am and they leave me but, to be honest, I don't usually get that attached to them like, I don't start crying when they leave or anything.

The sound of a Maserati roaring into my driveway kicks me out of my daydream. I look up and see the owner of the car park on the road next to the Manor's driveway and get out.

I feel my eyes widening. This guy is hot! He looks mature, he's got short, neat, black hair that's parted just the right way, dark eyes and a wide jaw. His square lips are a pale pink colour and his nose is at a size that may not suit any other face but his. The lower half of his face has just been shaved - you can tell, it's just so smooth - and he is quite tall and is of a sturdy build. I'm glad I chose him.
