Skylar is a girl with long violet hair that she always kept in a long brace that she drapes over her left shoulder, bright lime eyes, and a slight tan from growing up on the beach. When she was five her kindergarten class decided to make little sail boats then go to a pond to race them. Skylar was following the rules by getting the boat to go faster by blowing at the sail however some kids were using paper fans to make a better gust of wind. Feeling cheated she decided to take the deepest breath she could but this time when she blew even though that only was slightly stronger than before a giant fist came from behind her and knocked down every single boat floating on the pond. Eleven years later she will still just as competitive but fair. Skylar was in every sport she could be in track, cross country, volley ball, softball, golf, soccer, basket ball, cheer, swim and surfing. She even had a B average when it came to her studies. There was one problem she was too busy to relax and spend time with friends or teammates after practice. One Saturday her parents decided to discuss the issue with her. They sat her down in the living room knowing she'll be hard to deal with. "Sky we need to discuss your schedule." Her father spoke. "Why?" She began to question, "I get eight hours asleep and all my homework done on time." "When was the last time you ate out with a friend or team?" Her mother asked gently. Skylar stayed silent but kept her head up as well. "We just worry you are missing out on the fun of youth. You should go have fun with friends, be in a relationship, go to a party for Pete's sake. You could use it with how hard you've pushed yourself with your activities." Her father told her trying to get through to her. "The physical therapist says I'm fine besides if I drop some of my sports I would be missing out on those opportunities." Skylar argued. "You are in good physical health but about social, emotional, and mental health?" Her mother asked in a voice that was saturated with worry. Again Skylar didn't answer her mother but still she refused to look down. She didn't want to admit defeat even if her parents were right. "We have a meeting set up for this special program you can transfer to. You can have a break from sports and actually get close to your peers." Her father told her as if it was already decided. "This is unfair!" Skylar yelled as a breeze could be felt. "It's for your own good!" Her father yelled back as Skylar stormed off to her room. Even though she knew that her parents were right she would rather deny it. Three days later Skylar was forced to go to this fancy looking building and was guided to a conference room. Inside there was a man sitting at one end so she sat down at the other. "My name is Timothy I'm guessing you are Skylar?" He asked as he introduced himself. "Yes I am." She told him kindly as she was trying to be somewhat respectful. "You are the one with wind magic and exceptional athletic abilities?" He asked. "Right again but I need to ask if this program doesn't even have sports what does it have?" She questioned. "Well see you will have training and team building exercises along with the normal base school subjects. I don't offer traditional sports but I am making the first superhero team. You are obviously overqualified but can you actually build a bond with your teammates?" He asked her. "I can work well with others. I just never had time to become friends with my teammates or whatever weird way you said." She answered. "Well I see potential in you so if you choose my program you have a spot." He told her. "My parents aren't really letting me say no." She groaned.
