"What do you mean?" Jorge asked.
"Nothing that concerns you yet. Just pass the message along," Gabriel replied, running to the Matriarch's side.
Most of her wounds were superficial, only bruising and maybe a broken bone. However, Azrael's scythe had cleaved through flesh and bone, and not much held her arm in place. In fact... the shattered bone had imbedded in the ground, and refused to come out. He didn't have time to wait for Stella.
"Jorge, tell Stella to be ready!" Gabriel shouted.
"On it!" Jorge snapped out of his curiosity, running towards the castle entrance.
"Forgive me, Ceris.." Gabriel picked you his sword, placing it over the dead limb.
He stood, placing his foot over the blade of the sword. He looked away and stomped down, and he felt the blade slice through what he knew was Ceris's arm. As soon as he finished, he slung his sword onto his back and picked up Ceris, now racing to get her to Lady Stella before she bled out. The End Matriarch, despite all her strength, was now mortal, and she could die as easily as any other. He could see her blood running down his armor as he ran inside, slamming all his weight through anyone in his way. He could feel bodies hitting him and falling to the floor, but he didn't care. He just kept running.
Stella jumped with a slight scream as the door to the ward burst open. Gabriel stood there with his armor drenched in blood and... without his helmet? No, that wasn't the problem. He wasn't wounded, not visibly. She screamed again as she realized where the blood was coming from.
"Angel, set her down! I-I'll get to her right away!" Stella stammered as she rushed over to a bed.
Gabriel set Ceris down. "I'm going to see Amethyst, then I'm going to the Nether. Do not try to stop me."
"Angel, j-just think about what you're doing! Please!" Stella pleaded as the former Angel of Death walked out of the room. She sighed, trying her best to stabilize Ceris.
Amethyst jumped hard when Gabriel entered the lab. She looked at him and covered her mouth, seeing his helmet off and his armor covered in blood. She ran over to him, tears in her eyes.
"Gabriel! A-Are you okay?! Are you hurt?!" She said quickly.
"I'm not hurt. You and Azura get a right-side prosthetic arm made. Stella will know why," Gabriel turned and walked out.
"Gabriel, wait!" Amethyst shouted, but Gabriel ignored her and kept walking. "Gabriel..."
"Who are you talking to, Amy?" Azura walked you behind her.
"He left, Azura... he's gonna get himself killed..." Amethyst said through tears. The older woman pulled her into a hug.
"I'm sorry, Amy... I'm so sorry. Your brother can hold his own... just have hope, okay?" The Scholar said, trying to console the girl.
"Y-You know...?" Amethyst asked, trying to stifle her sobs.
"Yes, dear... I know. But I also know he'll be fine."
"I-If you say so... come look, Lady Azura. I found something, b-before... before he came in."
"What is it?" Azura and Amethyst walked over to a workstation.
"So... we made that potion to slow someone's fall, right? From the membrane of that phantom Cora killed?"
"Yeah. What about it?"
"I decided to experiment a bit, and I added a fermented spider eye. Look."
A white liquid rested in the beaker, but as soon as Amy tapped the beaker, the liquid floated about inside, as if unaffected by gravity.
