"Iha, pakikuha nga yung libro, nakatago sa may glass panel."Her hands trembled upon searching for the book. The glass panel is full of books, manuscripts and journals. The smell of old books overwhelmed the entire room.
Ganoon parin ang itsura ng kwarto. The wizarding robe hanging on the door, the stack of novels in the bookshelf, and the glass panel which contains the owner's most prized possession.
Carefully, i placed the book in her hands. She's looking at it intently. Walang nagsasalita sa amin. Walang maririnig na ingay kundi ang mahinang ugong ng electric fan. She caressed the book and looked at me.
The creases in her face are clearly visible.
"Napakaswerte mo iha." she blurted out. Hinawakan niya ang pisngi ko at dahan dahang tiningnan ang kabuuan ng mukha ko. I didn't respond, i just gave her a smile. Hindi ko narin naman alam ang sasabihin.She looked at me straight in the eye. I don't know why, but i shivered, and a mixture of confusion and sadness enveloped my entire system.
