Jaeden stood there as he sees his parents bickering in the living room. His parents always having an argument every now then. The squabbles of his parents made him so angry and tiring he just want a normal life and a happy family but it seems like life won't let him be. The more he stands there the more infuriate he gets, so he harshly stomps towards the pair and separate them both.

"Can you guys fucking stop and act like a typical married couple for once?! Im tired of these bullshits" he breathed heavily looking at the couple with exasperated expression.

"Watch your words jaeden!" His father ticks off as he heard his son cussing and being disrespectful.

"I'm done with this fucking house!" he growls and leaves the house,he heard his parents called his name but he ignored them. It is terribly dark and rainy outside he reaches in his pocket for the car key and opened his car door his hair became damp from the rain. Jaeden put his head on the steering wheel and sighed deeply. He put the key in the ignition and drove wherever, all he want right now is to be alone and at peace where there is no people arguing and warring.

He drove the speed limit - no more, no less. He didnt care if it will get himself arrested. He drove rapidly until he ran out of gas. He searched for some gas station and filled his car. Just then his stomach started rumbling he didn't eat this morning and afternoon. Her mother completely forgets to cook some meals at all time when her husband gets home drunk and started an argument. He forgot to bring his money so there's no way he can eat. He has no choice but to go home.

As he drove his way down the street, he saw a girl under an umbrella about her age alone at the sidewalk.

The girl on the other hand was lost she had gone for a walk and now didn't know how to walk her way back home. She called her bestfriend, Kaylee to pick her up but she didn't answer the call. 'Maybe she's asleep' she thought and waited there for some car or a taxi to drive her home. After for a while of waiting she finally saw a car passing by. She waved to call the driver's attention

Jaeden furrowed his eyebrow as he saw the girl waving he pulled in where the girl was. "what?" he asked blankly not bothering to look at her, hands still placed on the steering wheel impatiently. The girl smiled in relief "hey sir, im lost can you drive me home pls?" The girl politely asked.

The boy sighed and debated himself whether to drive her home or not. But he nodded and unlocked the door. The girl slightly smiled closing her umbrella and letting herself in. "Where" jaeden simply asked still not bothering to turn and look at her. "Pine Grove rd" the girl said as she relaxed herself on the seat due to tiredness and waiting outside on a rainy day. They were completely silent as they drove to their destination. Out of the corner of the boy's eye, he can see the girl tracing a finger on the car window. Jaeden's wondering why a girl would be outside on a rainy night. Her street was about 2 minutes away

"I'm Avery" the girl suddenly spoke trying to break the awkward silence. "Jaeden"  a blank expression on his face as he says it. "Where are you from?" the girl asked. Jaeden rolls his eyes he's too lazy to let out a word so he decided to ignore her. Then his stomach started growling again the girl heard it "are you hungry?" "Talking is not my thing, so stop and I'm not hungry" the boy snapped and regret it after but waved it off. "We're here" the girl said. He pulled in

The girl started searching on her backpack and took out a plastic container with sandwich that her mother made her which she didn't ate. "Here take this, i know you're hungry uhh and thanks for the ride" she nervously said. The boy unlocks the doors then she gently let herself out the boy just stared down and muttered 'thanks'. He realised he's being mean to her but her being nice and gave him a sandwich. He finally looked up and stared at Avery walking towards her house, her back facing him. Before the girl could turn around and take a look at the car. The car already drove away.

Jaeden looked at the sandwich placed on the passenger seat he felt guilty snapping her. He took the sandwich, opened the container then he took a bite. The boy nodded at satisfaction the sandwich tastes good and freshly made even though its a little bit cold.

Avery stood at the front door after he left, watching until he turned a corner and drive out of sight. She smiled at the thought that the boy didn't refuse when she gave him the sandwich, and although he's frowning and ignorant the whole ride she finds him cute and interesting. The girl shooks her head when she realised she's dozing off and smiling like an idiot. She sighed as she entered the house hoping she could see him again.
