The lock clicked, locking together a chain holding the barred door shut. The stairs leading downwards into under one of the Stormwind building had floors, walls, and ceiling made of dark wood, only a few torches barely lighting the way. The steps had a sharp corner, only becoming darker as they went deeper. At the end was a large cemented room with a wooden chair in the centre. The guards tied Ramonna to the chair and exited the room, pulling the metal door closed as they left.
Ramonna adjusted her hands, the rope tying her hands together chaffing her wrists. Genn Greymane uncrossed his arms and turned to the mage in the room and nodded. As the mage approached the Worgen, she growled and glared at him sideways while still facing Genn Greymane who stood in front of her. The mage hesitated for a moment before continuing cautiously. The mage lifted the Worgens blue dress revealing her scarred left leg and part of her other somewhat injured leg.
She bared her teeth as her jaw was tied shut.
"You are clever. I'll give you that." Greymane spoke calmly to her. The mage stood up and began enchanting, his eyes glowing and magic symbols appearing around his hands. He recited the incantations softly as he started emitting a soft glow.Greymane smiled, "Brace yourself." Her teeth disappeared as she tried to figure out the meaning of his words, but didn't have to wait very long. She grunted as a sting in her left leg began. She looked down to see a blue symbol beginning to appear on her upper thigh. The symbol was being burned into her skin, or it felt as if it was. Her jaw tightened as it continued, the symbol becoming a part of her skin. Her breathing became heavier as she endured the pain.
After some time, the mage stopped and took a step back. There was a short pause before Greymane stepped forward and untied the rope around Ramonna's jaw.
"Oh nice, you gave me a cute little tattoo," Ramonna commented immediately, and the mage gasped, offended.
"That little tattoo of yours is to disable your stealth ability," Genn explained to her. The room fell silent as Ramonna glared at Greymane. He sighed, "I have one more present for you."
"Must be my birthday."
"You definitely are special," Greymane reached into his pocket and pulled out a jewel and passed it to the mage. The mage walked behind her and put the necklace around her neck, using magic to keep it clipped in place. She felt herself transform from Worgen to human once again.
"You are despicable," Ramonna stated.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Greymane stopped at one of the doors in the hallway of the Stormwind Keep, "This will be your room, " he turned to her, "also, don't bother your roommate, this is the only room we have left for you. Now if you don't mind, I have more important issues to deal with." He walked swiftly down the hallway, talking down the stairs leading to the Throne Room. Ramonna turned her head to the door and recognised it, she had already been shown to this room with the crying Pandaren.
She clicked her tongue and decided to follow Greymane. She reached the end of the hall and used her sense of smell to track him the rest of the way, though in human form it proved more difficult. When she entered the Throne Room, there were people rushing all over the place, nurses and injured, but no sin of Greymane; she lost him.
"How's your leg coming along?" a female spoke from behind her. She spun quickly, unexpecting a presence behind her; it was the nurse that stitched up her leg. Ramonna sized her up quickly, "Fine, thank you."The nurse bent over, "Shall I take a look at its progress-" She paused as Ramonna jumped back quickly, getting slightly defensive. The nurse's voice softened, "its alright, I only want to take a look."
"I said its fine," Ramonna repeated with slight more aggression.
The nurse straightened her back, a concerned look growing on her face. Ramonna turned to all the people in the Throne Room to break the growing tension, "What happened here?"
"There was an attack on Stormwind Keep by the Legion, a direct attack on the new King. The strange thing is that they attacked the Vault too."The nurse walked around Ramonna and stood beside her, "Many lives were lost..." She continued to a group of nurses and victims. Ramonna glanced over all the humans, wishing to herself she could finish the job. She turned and headed back up to the room, giving up on following Greymane's tracks. She stood at the door for a long moment, dreading walking in on the Pandaren again.
She turned the handle slowly and gently pushed the door open, slowly revealing the clean empty room. She entered cautiously and closed the door behind herself.
"Ah! You have returned!" a female human maid entered from the attached small room, a bright smile on her face. Ramonna tried to demand the girl to leave, but young maid kept insisting she be allowed to do her job."Come," she led Ramonna to the bed where a dress was laid out, "first, I will change your clothes" she began removing Ramonna's dress, but Ramonna quickly retaliated. Ramonna slapped the maid's arm and shoved her to the floor, "I will dress myself!" The girl almost began crying but quickly gathered and dusted herself off, "Let me at least do your hair." Ramonna faced away from her, "if that will make you leave."
The maid washed her hair happily, whistling to herself as she did so. She dried it and tied it up with a clip as Ramonna told her she wished to bathe alone after she leaves. The maid prepared the bath and took her leave, ensuring everything was in place for her and her roommate. Ramonna looked back to the bath, steam resting on the surface. The bath was in the attached room, allowing her privacy and so the Pandaren wouldn't see if she was to return unexpectedly.
A warm bath would be nice, Ramonna admitted to herself. She slipped off the dirtied dress and tossed it to the corner of the room. First, she inspected the symbol on her left leg. The symbol looked like a blue tattoo, as it appeared to sit under her skin. This symbol weakened her, and she had to find a way to remove it and fast. Then she unwrapped the bandage around her right leg to reveal the injury. It was healing nicely, another scar to add to the rest, Ramonna amused herself.
She slowly slid into the bath until the water was covering her entire body but her head. She could feel the sting of the warm water entering the wounds, but it was a feeling she learned to enjoy. She grasped the necklace hanging around her neck. It was also weakening her by stopping her from returning to her natural form. With all these enchantments in play, she was too weak yet to attempt to escape, and Greymane knew this.
