Flashback 2 years ago

"Baby put me down!! Let goo!" Amelié said while laughing as James picked her up and spun her around. "No your my little princess and I'm never letting you go." James said while looking into Amelié eyes. His eyes was full of love and admiration for her. He just couldn't take his eyes off of her. She was so beautiful. A precious gem that can easily be shattered with the right amount of force. That glint had begun to show in James' eye, but it faded just as fast as it appeared.

A few months have passed and the couple have been acting strange lately. The once happy, cheerful and spontaneous couple started to become dull, unhealthy and distant. James became more of a touchy person. Doing things without consent. While Amelié was just...distant. She barely talk to him anymore, she didn't talk to her friends anymore even her closest friend, Trinity, because of what James did. She distanced herself from the world. That was mistake #1.

As soon as she got back to college, everyone gave her the same treatment she did to them. They shunned her out of her friend group, like she was never apart of it. The only one who didn't shun her out was her best friend, Trinity. She saw that Amelié was going through a rough time, so she said these words to her. "Even if you are feeling down, you shouldn't shut everyone out. That would be your downfall. Just remember that." That was the last she heard from Trinity.

Rumors came about that Trinity was in a car accident. She was driving and stopped at a red light. A drunk driver came and ran into her on the driver side. The driver survived, but Trinity lost her life. The driver was sued. He got a $10k fine for drunk driving and a additional $10k was added to go towards Trinity's funeral. The sad part is that Trinity had a lover. His name was Tye. After he heard the news he just went...emotionless. He felt as if his whole world had crumble before him. Everyone attended Trinity's funeral. Her parents, 2 sisters, uncles, aunts, friends and even Tye. They all mourned her loss. After all she was only 21 years old. That's the thing with our generation. Never live past 21 huh? Tye committed suicide 5 days after her death.

It's been 2 weeks since Trinity's death. Amelié took it hard. She stopped sleeping, eating just everything in general. James decided to make his move while she was in this state. He started to feel her up more, trying to make her aroused, but all she felt was disgust, hatred, regret and remorse. She pushed him off and went to her room since she was in the living room. James didn't like that and followed her. He pushed her to the floor and started to beat her, punching her face, kicking her stomach, pulling her hair, anything he could've done. Amelié was there taking it, not once trying to fight back. She was just...there. Word got around school that she was abused by James. Instead of trying to help her, they laughed in her face. "Maybe he realized how much of a slut you are!"

"I'm surprised he didn't do it sooner. I mean look at you. You're hideous!"

"You're so ugly you don't deserve someone like James. I'm glad he's doing this. He finally realized that you're worth nothing."

"When he beats you again, I hope he beat you to death. Sounds familiar right? Same situation happened between your parents right?"

A girl said, shouting at Amelié from across the lunchroom. Students quiet down as they heard the commotion while Amelié just looked down, listening to everything this girl had to say as she walked over.

"Ohh yeah, I just remembered your father was a wife beater. Such a shame. Who knew that their daughter would be in the same toxic relationship just like theirs."

Everyone stood frozen in their spot. Even if they made all those jokes, that girl just took it too far. Way too far.

Amelié didn't know when she got up.

She didn't realize when she was on top on the girl.

She didn't realize she was punching the fuck out of her.

She didn't see the blood on her knuckles.

She didn't feel the cracking of bones beneath her fist, nor the multiple hands that was desperately trying to pull her off of the girl.

Amelié only snapped out of her trance when she heard James shout her name.

"AMELIÉ! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?!"  His voice boomed in the lunchroom making everyone shut up in fear. Amelié looked up with emotionless eyes and said, "I was just having fun." James pulled her off when a professor entered the lunchroom. "What in the world is going on here!?!" He exclaimed. No one said anything. The cafeteria was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. His attention was now trained on the girl who was on the floor. Her face, at this point, was hardly to recognize. Her nose, eyebrow bone, jawline and eye socket was broken. The girl was slumped on the floor unconscious, maybe even dead. Boo fucking hoo, she deserved everything that happened to her.

Unfortunately, some people don't think that way. The professor, Mr. Dingéll, gasped in horror. "Who did such a thing to this poor, innocent girl?!" Amelié had a sudden urge to laugh, so she did. Everyone turned to look at her, even Mr. Dingéll. "That was a funny joke Mr. Dingéll,  but let me tell you what really went down." Amelié said pointing at the girl. "That so called girl insulted me. So her bitchass got what she deserved." Mr. Dingéll looked at her with eyes of rage. "Young lady! I would not take that kind of tone! What you did was unacceptable, you come with me right now!" He said and went to grab Amelié but she swatted him away. "Don't put your saggy ass hands on me! Touch me and you'll end up like Miss Bitch over there, slumped on the goddamn floor." She said with venom in her voice. The professor backed off, and that's where James decided to speak up. "Sir I am terribly sorry for this situation that has happened. I'll take her to the office right away." He said, grabbing Amelié and lead her towards to exit of the cafeteria.

James lied when he said he was taking her to the office. He took her to his house and when he opened the door, he threw her to the floor, closed the front door and locked it. "What the fuck was on your mind when you put your hands on her? You could have gotten in so much problems." He hissed at her, but Amelié could care less. "So what? I'm supposed to let her talk bad about me? In front of the whole fucking school!?"

"Do not have that attitude with me Amelié."

"Like you give a fuck James just understand for once!"

"I do understand! You just went overboard!"

"I went overboard!? Are you out of your goddamn mind?! She legit told the whole fucking school what is happening between me and you!"

"SHUT UP!" James said as he punched Amelié to the ground. He walked up to her and grabbed her hair, forcing her to look up to him. "Looks like I'm gonna have to teach your ass some manners." He said as he gave her this malicious smile. "No! No! James please don't!" Amelié pleaded, but it all fell on deaf ears as she was dragged up the stairs. How pitiful.
