((Hello!! My Name is Shay, Although some know me as ~Shiira~ On Webtoons! This is a story Idea I wish to get out the ol' fashioned way before it becomes anything big. I DESIRE criticism on this story, so if anything seems weird, DO COMMENT PLEASE! I'll either make things more detailed, or explain why it is the way it is, even if it's as simple as saying "its a spoiler". Anyways, I hope you enjoy the ride!))
A loud BANG crackled through the air.
Birds fluttered away with haste, raccoon squeaked as they scampered away.
A hunter peered out from the shadows. His chin was speckled with many sharp hairs in desperate need of a shave.
His feet crunched as he walked towards his kill, a red fox.
"Took me long enough to get you. The farmers will be glad when they hear of your absence." He laughed quietly to himself. The shot was clean, clear through the animal's shoulder. "Your pelt will sell for a decent price, too." He picked the fox up by the base of the tail as he examined it.
His eyes shot up as he heard a small squeaking noise.
He surveyed the area, and found himself by the fencing. The Fox had hidden her kits there, and they were crying out. Was it Hunger? Was it fear? The hunter wouldn't know.
"Tch.. It happens." He sighed, taking a knife out. His eyes looked over each, and focused on one.. an Albino, smaller compared to the rest."You guys won't survive long without her."
The sky darkens as the hunter leaves with the Vixen, leaving four dead kits behind, waiting for a scavenger to pick them up.
"The world's rather harsh, and not all will show mercy." A deep, scratchy voice echos.
A Man within a kimono steps towards the mess, shaking his head. All but one of the fox kits were gone, except one- The Albino. "The hunter didn't cut deep enough." The man kneels before the kit. "You would have been so beautiful, so graceful." He sings softly to her, resting her on his lap. "It would be a waste to let you leave without letting you truly live." He graced the top of her head with his hand, as she lay gasping for her final breath.
He touched his finger to her nose, easing her into the sweet release of death.
A name written in Hiragana seems to float in the mist, and rest on the kit's thigh and seemingly tattoo it a reddish-hue.
"I welcome you to be my little helper, dear Aiko."
