Recap:

"Ask nicely? That's all it takes us to be friends? Thought Aaron. He doubted it a little, but ignored his doubts and decided to go for it. "Would you like to be friends with me, Please?", Aaron asked nicely with a forced smile on his face.

"NO!", Rachel replied with a blank face and walked away. Aaron stood there dumbfounded with mouth agape. "Don't worry! There is a first time for everything.", Maddy assured Aaron with an amusing look in her eyes and walked away with Sasha.

Impressing Tiasha is oing to be harder than I thought, Aaron conversed with himself

mentally."

                               -----------------------------------------------------

I stood by her locker and watched her walk away. Sean, my best buddy, came over to me and followed my gaze. "Ahh, someone's developed a crush on Rachel Anderson", he teased me while elbowing me in the arm. I sighed and said, "It's not her who I like. It's her best friend, Tiasha...Tiasha Banks."

"Right. And you know you can never get Tiasha. Don't you?", Sean asked. "I do man, I do."

"She is oh so in love with her boyfriend. You got no chance with her dude.", Sean made his point.

"Which is why I wanna befriend Rachel Anderson", Aaron grinned.

"And what good will that do?", Sean asked. " Well, as you know, best way to find a way to a girl's heart is to get into her best friend's good books. So yeah, my plan is pretty much the same." Aaron explained.

"Befriend Rachel? How are you planning to do that?", Sean began to get curious.

"Well well....", Aaron grinned uncontrollably with a mischevious look in his eyes.

Rachel was seated in the English class when a paper ball hit her and fell on floor. She picked it up and turned to look at who hit her with it. Her eyes met Maddy's and she mouthed 'it's a note'. Rachel nodded and managed to open the paper without tearing it. The note said,

'Sooo, Aaron huh? ;)'. His name was enough to drive Rachel nuts. It got on her nerves.

'Screw him', Rachel replied and rolled the crumbled piece of paper back into a ball and threw it at Maddy.

Maddy threw the paper ball back at Rachel only a minute later. It read,

'Why? I mean, you're mesmerized by his sun-kissed skin, yeah? :p'. Rachel chuckled lightly to herself, recalling the incident.

'Well, whatever. He's still a loser', Rachel threw the paper back at Maddy. She waited for her reply, but the bell rang. All the students started rushing out of the classroom. Rachel stood up from her seat and Maddy approached her. Rachel shook her head while eyeing the paper ball. Maddy laughed and both of them headed out of the classroom, dumping the paper in the dust bin on their way out.

"So did you give the Aaron incident a thought yet?", Maddy asked Rachel once they got out of the classroom and were now walking towards the cafeteria.

"No?", Rachel replied in a rather bored tone. "Lie.", Maddy quickly replied.

"And why do you think I'm lying?", Rachel asked. "Because it's written all over your face that you can't stop thinking of Aaron." Maddy said playfully, obviously enjoying the conversation.

"Unh-unh. There is no room for that brainless guy in my mind.", Rachel replied sounding a bit annoyed. They reached the cafeteria and found Sasha at its entrance.

"Hello Maddy, hello Aaron's friend-to be.", Sasha teased. Rachel rolled her eyes while Maddy laughed.

"I'm hungry.", Rachel murmured and entered the cafeteria, Sasha Maddy followed still laughing.
