It started out when I was 3. I would go around just kicking balls around the house. When I was 4 my mom signed me up for say soccer. I loved it! I played defense and offense but I was 4 it didn't really matter. Then when I was 5 I scored my first goal ever! Too bad it was for the other team. I played T-Ball and I played basketball. But it just wasn't the same as soccer. Soccer I just felt free running around kicking a ball. I played all the way till I was almost 9. Then my mom got a new job. Her bosses husband was making a select team and he needed a goalie. My mom being my mom told her I was a goalie and a pretty good one at that! I played goalie half of every game but I really liked playing striker. After my very last spring game, my moms bosses husband came up to the park and basically we had our own little "try out". He threw some balls at me. I punted some balls at him. And I made it. That's where I met my best friend Hannah. At our first practice. We were inseparable. That team went on to win 3 tournaments in 3 years and become finalists in 3! Then we got new players. Old players quit. New players came in. We weren't really sure how to work as a team. Basically what it came down to was I got replaced. I hated her. Not because she took my spot but because of her personality. To me your attitude makes you. Not how good you play. But that summer she quit. Because she didn't wanna share the spot with me. Can you believe that? It was my spot first. It was my team first! Anyways that fall we had an amazing team. We won 2 tournaments and were finalists in 2. I couldn't wait till the spring! Then that winter, half of the team quit. They left 4 players team less. We were a team for 5 years. How are you going to throw 5 years away? Just because you weren't playing the position you wanted to play. That's my opinion but whatever. I was 13 at that time. And I found a new team. That appreciated me. That were grateful to have me on their team. To me, that was the best team I have ever been on and had the expiernce to play with. Shoutout to you Miami West Red Storm! Love you guys. Anyways, I didn't really feel myself progressing as a player. I loved that team to death but if I didn't do something I couldn't see myself getting to where I wanted to be. So I tried out for a Butler United team as a striker and a goalie. I made it as a striker and the back up goalie. But that spring with Miami west, we made it to the finals of the creek classic and we beat a Tecumseh team. 3-1. Hardest game of my life! That coach that we beat wanted me to be his goalkeeper for his butler united team. I said sure. That fall I made jv goalie for high school. I was proud. But next year I'm going to make varsity. And I'm going to work my butt off to get there. No matter what it takes. And that butler team, I've already progressed. And it's only been 2 months. We've been in a 3 team scrimmage, a college showcase, and I play indoor with them. We didn't do great at the college showcase but we lost to the best team in Ohio 1-0. Now I say that's pretty dang good. Just remember never give up until your idols become your rivals, and even then still don't give up. My dream as a 14 year old freshman right now is to be the starting goalkeeper for Ohio State University. My dream college. I know I still have 3 more years to think about it and I know I'm young but that's my dream. And I'm going to work my butt of to get there. Now that I think about it this is pretty lame so I'm going to stop. And shoutout to the Buckeyes! Beat Alabama! Alright well see ya.✖️
