The long windy road

"Sab, listen, I did not know that he was not a nice guy okay?" says Maddy as she sits down in my car right next to the empty can of coke.
I usually keep my car clean but after this dreadful experience, I have slipped a little.

"Maddy, I don't want to talk about it okay? Let's just go home and forget anything every happened." It was the summer of senior year and everything was just falling apart.

"But sab, you have to understand, all I was trying to do was get you to have a little fun okay? I mean I have no intentions of ever hurting you!" She says as she puts her elbow on the side of the door and look out the window

Sometimes she annoys me you know? I understand she is trying to be a good friend but sometimes she just does the wrong things

"Maddy, for the last time I-" I stop and freeze as we stop in the stoplight

"What! What is it???" Maddy says as she looks over at me confused by my facial expression.

"You mean to tell me, that he was just trying to hook up with me?!" I look up at the road then look back down at my legs.. damn someone was trying to hook up with me? Wait a second..

"No, that's not what I said, I was saying that I was trying to get you to let loose.. not in that way.. ugh I am making this worse aren't I?"

I looked at her then looked back at the road as the light turned green. We were both unprepared. At that point in time, I still haven't gotten my first kiss.

"Okay.. here's the tea. I need to get my first kiss before I go to college. Okay? That's the goal. Whatever happens we need to get me to kiss some guy, I don't even care who it is anymore okay?"

Maddy looked at me confused but sort of like 'uhm..' okay? She then shakes her head in disapproval

"Sab.. your first kiss needs to be special, magical and.. SAB!"

I quickly turn my head on the road as we see flashing lights and a swarm of people running towards this building

"WHAT! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO YELL AT ME?" I turn to her angrily

"Did you forget what day it is today?" Ever since we moved to California, there has been holidays upon holidays. I can't keep count.

"What is it?"

"It's One Direction day!!!!!"

"No it's not?"

"Yes it is"

"No it's not!"

"Then how do you explain Niall Horan standing
right outside our car window?"

I turn over my shoulder and I feel my body just heat up. I couldn't believe my eyes..

"Uh, Hey I am sort of it a bind, could you girls give me a ride?" He says as I roll down my window.

I start to fumble as the light turned green. Cars honking behind me to move. I nod my head as Niall opens the door to the backseat

What the fuck is going on..

I push on the gas and the car starts moving abruptly. Niall was using his hands to point out the way where he wanted to go. As soon as we reached our destination, I accidentally slammed on the breaks.

"Here-e-e you.. go-o-o" I said as my hands were shaking while I was clicking the button to unlock the door

"Thank you! How can I repay you?"

Maddy quickly gave me a grin and an evil look
"WELL.. you see here.."

She stops as I slap her across the face. Niall's expression goes blank.

"Uh.." He says nervously.. "I know a place, I can get you girls some dinner sometime. If you would like?"

"We would lov-" I slap my hand on her lips as she mumbled "love to"

"Good! See you at Friday? 7 o clock?" He says as he opens the door to get out

"YUP!" Maddy says all cheery and excited as Niall shuts the door and waves goodbye

"MADDY WHAT DID YOU! WHAT JUST! AHHAHAHA WHAT HAPPENED?!"

"You just got yourself a date.."
