You get up and follow the nurse into the room.

N: I will need to ask you some questions, is that okay?
Y/N: Yes *sniffles*
N: Are you okay?
Y/N: I'll be okay, thank you. Just the babies daddy is no longer interested. He was happy 2 weeks ago but now he isnt.
N: Oh I'm sorry.
Y/N: Its not your fault. Thank you for listening
N: You're welcome. What is your plans?
Y/N: A natural birth please. No epidural unless it's to severe.
N: No worries. Who will be in the room?
Y/N: Just myself.
N: Oh. Do you not have family?
Y/N: No I dont. My mom died at child birth, my dad killed himself 2 years ago. The babies father well who knows
N: Okay doke.....

There is a knock at the door. The nurse gets up and opens the door.

N: Can I help?
??: Did i miss the scan?
N: No? You are?
Y/N:The babies father
N: Oh, I'm sorry. No you havent missed anything. Come in.

Eben comes in and sits beside you. You dont look at him or talk to him.

N: Right, I will ask again. Who will be present at the birth?
E: I will be there.
N: Are you sure? You didnt make much of an effort today, I see.
E: I know. I'll sort it out afterwards.
N: Is that okay with you?
Y/N: Yeah, sure.
N: So babies father, natural birth and no epidural.
E: Your not having any pain relief?
Y/N: Is there anymore questions?
N: Who is to cut the cord?
Y/N: He is.
N: What about C-Sections?
Y/N: Only if it's really necessary.
N: How will you feed your baby?
Y/N: Breastfeeding as much as possible.
N: Okay, the Rest that needs discussed will be with your midwife. She/he will be in touch in the next 2 weeks.
Y/N: Thank you
N: Can you pull your top up and trousers down a little.

You do as the nurse asks and she applies the gel. She puts the scanner on your stomach.

N: Miss Y/L/N, you need to try to reduce your stress.
Y/N: Is the baby okay?
N: Just, but you need to take it easy.
Y/N: Okay, I will do. Will moving house cause to much stress?
N: Yes it will.
Y/N: Okay
E: If you have to move out, I'll do it all for you.
Y/N: Thanks
N: Here is your little baby, you are 13 weeks pregnant. You are due the 20th October.
Y/N: Awwww
E: Is there just one baby?
N: I'll just keep checking but so far yes.

The nurse keeps scanning around.

N: Definitely only one baby there.
E: Ohhh
N: Now remember you need to eat for 2 people and drink more.
Y/N: I will try.
N: I'll print of some pictures for you both.
E: Thank you
N: Here is some tissue to wipe the gel off.

The nurse hands you some tissue.

E: Let me help you
Y/N: You dont have to be nice in front of the nurse
E: Sorry
Y/N: Is it okay to go to the toilet?
N: Ofcourse.  It's right opposite. I'll give, sorry I don't know your name, the pictures.
Y/N: Thank you and thank you for being helpful.

You quickly get up and rush to the toilet.

N: What are your plans?
E: With what?
N: Your relationship and the baby
E: I dont know but I want to be part of the babies life.
N: If you dont love her or want to be with her, you should tell her. This stress isn't helping.
E: Thank you

Eben comes out the room at the same time you come out the bathroom.

E: Are you okay?
Y/N: Yeah

You walk off to your car. Eben is running after you.

E: Y/N, wait.
E: Y/N! STOP!

You sigh and stop. You turn around and face Eben.

Y/N: What?
E: I'm sorry Y/N. I know the last week I havent been fair towards you.
Y/N: Eben, if you dont love me or dont want to be with me, just say. I'll leave.
E: I love you so much
Y/N: Then What's wrong?
E: I'm worried Y/N. Worried I wont be a good dad. That I wont be able to afford to have this baby. Worried I'll fail as a boyfriend and father.
Y/N: You need to talk to me about these things. Maybe we should spend time apart.
E: Okay
Y/N: I'll pack some things and head off.
E: It should be me going. You need to rest up
Y/N: I'll go on holiday. Somewhere relaxing.
E: Okay.
Y/N: Hopefully in that time you can find yourself again and think about what you want.
E: Thanks

You arrive back at the house and pack a suitcase. You check for holiday places.

Hawaii and the plane leaves in 5 hours. Perfect.

You book it and finish up packing. Eben comes through to the room.

E: How long are you away for?
Y/N: 2 Weeks and to Hawaii
E: Ohh, cool. Enjoy
Y/N: Thank you. I'll text you every day
E: Thanks, I'll drive you to the airport
Y/N: You don't have to.
E:I want too
Y/N: Okay thank you

Eben takes your case and puts it in his car. You pack your overnight bag and head down to the car.

You get in and Eben drives off.

E: I'm really sorry Y/N. I wish I could change it all
Y/N: I know you are, it's just until you decide
E: I understand that.

You arrive at the airport and Eben gets the suitcase out the boot. You say your goodbye and check in.

You board the flight and make your way to Hawaii.

Once you've landed, you check in and text Eben to tell him you've arrived.

He doesn't reply. He must be busy.

You have been worried about Eben as he hasnt replied to you and his voicemail is constantly on when you've phoned him.

*Talks to herself*

Y/N: I hope Eben is okay
Y/N: I wish he would answer
Y/N: I'll text one of the boys!

Y/N: Hey Jonah
Jo: Hey Y/N
Y/N: I've been texting Eben and he hasnt been replying. I've tried phoning but all I got was his voicemail. Is he okay?
Jo: He is safe.
Y/N: IS HE OKAY?
Jo: Calm down! Yes and No
Y/N: Oh ffs, what has he done
Jo: Something you will see when you get back
Y/N: Oh God. Tell him I've been trying to get hold of him

You got onto the internet and check the next flight home. 3 hours time.

You quickly book it and fling everything in the suitcase. You head down to reception and check out. You call an Uber and head to the airport.

You get into the Uber when it arrives. You get to the airport and check in. You get on the flight.

You sit there anxiously. Shaking your leg and thinking.

The flight takes off and arrives after what seems days but only a matter of hours.

You get your luggage and run to the taxi rank. Get in the taxi and head to the house.

Once you've arrived at the house, you pay the driver and get your luggage.

You get to the door and knock.....

No answer, you knock again. You put your ear against the door and listen.

You hear shouting, screaming, things smashing. You quickly open the door and run in.

You see Eben on the floor. The place is a mess. You run to Eben

Y/N: EBEN!!!
E: Y/N?
Y/N: What happened?
E: W-what are y-you doing b-back?
Y/N: I've been worried!

You help Eben up. He hugs you tightly and cries into your shoulder.

You comfort him and help him through to the bedroom. The bedroom is trashed as well. You lay Eben on the bed and hug him till he falls asleep. You play with his hair.

Eben has fallen asleep. You get up and start to tidy up.
