Shoto felt nothing but pain whenever he hears Izuku's sharp intakes of breath as the greenhead struggled from the wounds he got from the whipping Shigaraki did. But the punishment was not enough that he had locked Izuku in the cellar just across Shoto and others, not even bothering to heal him.
Shoto took one look at Izuku and felt pity-- his left eye swollen shut and his right one had a cut on the eyelid forcing him to keep both of them closed, he also had whip marks on his chest-- stray shots he received from trying to endure the pain, his lips were busted from biting them too much. He had not enough strength to sit down nor even stand that the guards had practically dragged him down the dungeons, his arms were covered from marks as well as he tried to cover the hits he was to receive from his waist down.
"Why would you do that... Why would you betray us and then try to save me...?" Shoto asked but Izuku didn't answer and he thought the boy had passed out from the pain when Izuku whispered one thing that made him stop.
"Mom..." Izuku whispered as tears mixed with blood streaming down his face. "Coming... home... mom..."
Shoto gripped the irons bars that separated him from Izuku, his heart thumping loudly in his chest. "Izuku...?" he called but the greenhead had stopped responding. In fact, his shoulders had stopped moving as well and the prince panicked.
"Izuku... Izuku! Wake up! Izuku!" Shoto called, startling Eiji and Tenya.
"What is it?" Eiji asked, confused at the panic Shoto was feeling.
"H-he stopped moving..." Shoto said, "IZUKU!"
"HEY! SHUT UP!" One of the guards said as he approached their cellar.
"Heal him!" Shoto said, pointing at the greenhead that lay almost lifeless across them. "Heal him, please! He might die!"
The guard looked at Izuku's sorry state before scoffing. "Well that saves us the hassle of killing him," he said with a laugh that erupted anger in Shoto's body as he grabbed the guard's clothes and pulled him against the bar, strangling him.
The distress alarmed the other guards and the pried their comrade away from the prince before opening the door and started to beat him and the others up but Shoto took it all-- every punch, every kick until a hit to the head caused him to pass out with Izuku's being the last thing he had seen.

He woke up from a hand that softly caressed his hair and he shot up, groaning in pain as his body protested.
A voice shushed him. "Someone might hear, I need you to stay quiet,"
Shoto looked up and saw Momo in her travel robes. "Momo...?"
"Good, you didn't hit your head that bad to forget who I am," Momo said and Shoto turned to see Tenya and Eiji already dressing up in their cloak.
"W-what..."
"We're getting you out of here, somewhere safe and out of Hisashi's hands," Momo said. "With the King's death, you are now Yuei's hope, Shoto... we can't let you die,"
Shoto looked at her then pushed her aside and stood up with a groan, his body ached from the beatings he endured. However, when he looked at the cell across him, the green-haired boy he expected to see was already gone.
"W-where is he...?" Shoto asked.
Momo shook her head. "They took him about an hour ago, I don't know where they put him, but..." she bit her lip. "He asked me to get you out of here, the three of you..."
"What?"
"A few days after they infiltrated Yuei and expected your arrival, Izuku came up to me and asked me to get you out... to a safe place," Momo said.
