Family Troubles

"Jaldi kar meri maa, itna kya saj rahi hai? " A girl in her mid twenties says in an irritated tone. 

"Tu toh aise saj rahi hai ki main nahi tu apne boyfriend  ki family se milne ja rahi hai. Bas kar Pree, chal ab! " She shouts loudly at her best friend cum sister. 

"Dekh zara Angie main blusher aur lagau ya itna kafi hai? " Priyanka asks, looking at Angel who is already fuming in anger. 

Angel breathes heavily. "Naah naah meri lado. Blusher kyu thoda sa primer aur lga, ohho meri pari ne toh lipstick bhi na lgaya. Haan ye jhumke daal ke na ghunghat nikal le. Dulha bas aa hi raha hai teri bidaai jo karni hai. " Angel shouts at her, losing her calm. 

Priyanka makes faces. " Bhadak kya rahi ho? Ab ladki walo ki taraf se sirf main hoon toh mujhe toh achhi dikhna hi padega na. "Priyanka says,  applying some more make up. 

Angel joins her hands in frustration. " Ab agar tera ho gaya ho toh hum chale. Mahesh ke uncle bahut hi punctual hai. Let's go. " Angel frowns and pulls her with her. 

After a drive of thirty minutes, they reach their destination. Mahesh is waiting for them at the door. He smiles to see their car entering from the main gate. After parking the car, they get down. Angel runs to Mahesh and hugs him. 

"I love you Mahu. " She exclaims and kisses his left cheek. Mahesh hugs her back and kisses her forehead. 

"Ohh laila majnu bas karo yeh papiya jhapiya baad mein karna, uncle  andar wait kar rahe honge. Chalo ab." Priyanka disturbs these two love birds intentionally. 

Angel gives her a deadly look. "Pree mujhe lag raha hai ki tu pitegi mere hath se. " 

Priyanka laughs little. "Baad mein peetna mujhe, pehle apne hone wale sasur ji ka approval le lo. " She says jokingly. 

Mahesh slaps Priyanka's forehead lightly. "tujhe kuch zyada jldi nahi hai. "

"Apne hone wale sambhadi ji se milne ke liye mann uchhal raha hai mera. Jaldi kijiye. " Priyanka says dramatically. 

Angel shakes her head in disappointment. "Chal ab. Chale Mahu? " Angel looks at Mahesh, He nods and they walk in the house. 

Mahesh tells them to sit on the couch. They sit and start waiting for Ravish, Mahesh's uncle. After a few minutes, Ravish enters the drawing hall. Angel and Priyanka greet him. He greets them back. 

"Angel btaya mujhe Mahesh ne tumhare bare. I'm proud of you ki tum independent ho, itna bada business smbhaal rahi ho. I'm impressed. " Ravish praises Angel. 

Angel smiles. "waah badi tareef ho rahi hai teri Angie. Lagta hai ki Mahesh ne pura homework kar rakha hai. " Priyanka whispers. Angel signals her to be quiet. 

"thank you uncle." Angel smiles. 

"Mujhe koi problem nahi hai, bas ek baar tumhari family se mil le toh baki sab chize bhi discuss kar lenge. " Ravish says. 

"Family toh nahi hai uncle. " Angel replies. 

Ravish looks at Angel angrily. "Agar family nahi hai toh mujhe yeh rishta manzoor nahi. Mahesh ki shadi us ghar mein hogi yahan puri family hogi. Tum log ja sakte ho. " Ravish declares. 

Angel faces fell and is about to get up. Priyanka holds her hand and makes her sit. "Uncle family nahi hai ka matlab yeh nahi hai ki family nahi hai. Iska matlab tha ki family abhi nahi hai. " Priyanka says, which makes Angel shocks. 

"Pree, " Angel is about to say but Priyanka cuts her. "Uncle actually sab out of town hai. Waise toh bahut badi family hai hamari. " Priyanka says with a smile. 

Ravish gives her a look. "hamari! " 

"Matlab chahe main iski company main manager hoon par hoon toh iski bhabhi, iski sagi bhabhi. " Priyanka words are making Angel tense. 

"Papa mumma bhai behan sab hai uncle. " Priyanka says again. 

"Toh sab hai kahan? " Ravish asks. 

"Papa ji thoda dharmik pravriti ke hai toh wo terrath yatra pe gaye hai. " 

"Teerath yatra! Aise mahapurush se toh main zrur milna chahunga. " Ravish is happy to know about Angel's father. "Mata ji kahan hai? " Ravish asks. 

Angel glares at  Priyanka. Priyanka winks at her. "Maa ki tabiyat kharab thi toh Angie ki badi behan aur jija ji unhe London le gaye hai treatment ke liye.  And haan ek chhoti behan hai wo Dehradun mein padhti hai. Bas agle mahine aa jayegi. College pura ho jayega uska. "

"Aur tumhare pati? " Ravish asks again. 

"Wo toh Punjab gaye hai. Please kisi se batana vesnahi, so undercover cop hai toh ghar pe kam, mission pe zyada rehte hai. " Priyanka says and takes a deep breath. Angel is fuming in anger but says nothing. 

"Waah itni badi family. Mujhe rishta manzoor hai. " Ravish says and leaves after having some more conversation. Angel and Priyanka leave for their place.
