26th of May. Today was my birthday.

I recalled the memories from my 8th birthday, almost like I'm turning eight all over again. It was the last birthday I ever spent with my father and then only nine days later, my mother found him in the river. The police were investigating whether it was a suicide or murder but no clues were found and they declared it as suicide. I never believed that though. There was no chance in a million years that I would even consider my father's death as a suicide.

The way he held my hand and walked with me down the long corridor was just too warm. His smile every time he woke me up and every time he would lift me up. Not a single time during his time with me was there any sign of inconvenience that would be bothering him, but you just can't read someone's mind.

I continued walking down the long hallway and abruptly stopped at a certain painting.

Once upon a time, there were seven beautiful princes ruling Korea. Their reign over Korea was great and powerful and their alliance with different nations was the strongest Korean history has ever seen. They were said to have multiple secrets and tons of inside information for themselves and they never really showed their true side. It was also said how scared they were of the outside world and never wanted to go out. All their business happened inside their castle and nowhere else.

There were rumours about them being wizards and constantly preparing for the dark war. The dark war was supposedly going to start when the last puzzle bite aligns with the others and it would be a war that was not in their favour. That was also why the princes were always planning a bunch of balls with people they thought would be the one. The dances were always told to be so magnificent and elegant but they never ended a ball with the remaining piece and so it went on.

However, that's just what my father told me.
